The Best of Sintra - We had a wonderful day in Sintra. Although the morning fog robbed us of great views from Pena Palace, it also added a mystic feel to our visit. Plus, by the afternoon, the skies cleared and we were offered beautiful views. The combination of Pena and Monserrate Palaces, plus time in Sintra, was just right. Our guide, Nidia, was warm, funny, and knowledgeable. There were times, however, when it was difficult to fully understand her. Great trip!

One day in Sintra - I loved all of it but my favourite was Monserrate palace even though it is under construction and empty at the moment.

A real quality service - Exceptional visit to Sintra with our driver and guide Paulo, who speaks 5 languages including excellent French.
Very friendly, kind, smiling and experienced, he told us with passion, from the start, the history of the monarchy of Portugal and of Sintra in particular, in connection with each place. He accompanied us to the Pena Palace and the Montserrate Palace, providing undeniable cultural and anecdotal added value, and facilitating access and travel. We also visited the Regaleira Palace on our own after listening to Paulo's comments and advice.
The excursion was captivating and truly enriching, a perfect day and an unforgettable memory. Thank you for this great performance!
We without hesitation recommend this human-sized organizer (And Paulo of course ;-).

Great tour of Sintra and the 3 palaces for our 14 person group. - We had a private tour with 14 persons. 2 vans picked us up at our hotel in Lisbon and returned us back to the hotel after the tour. Paulo and Gustavo were wonderful and informative guides. They told us about the background and history of the sights that we visited. We had plenty of free time in Sintra for lunch and walking around. They were very flexible with the time that we had. Everyone in the group enjoyed the tour. Thanks again Paulo and Gustavo for your excellent service and thank you Augusto for your help before the tour.

Our guide, Nidia, was... - Our guide, Nidia, was amazing-knowledgable, punctual and patient with older members of our group! And a great driver, managing the small, curvy roads of Sintra like a true pro! So she gets 5 starts!
However, due to some traffic issue getting into Sintra, we missed our timed entry to Pena Palace and despite Nidia's efforts with security guards, we were not allowed in, because we were several hours late. We were only able to see some of the outside part of the palace. This would have been fine, if at the end of the tour, we were not asked to pay the full ticket price for Pena Palace. I understand the tour operator had already purchased these tickets, but asking customers for reimbursement for something that was not provided in the tour reflects really poorly on the company.
