- Evora - Next, we visit Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, surrounded by 14th century walls. We will visit the Roman Temple and the Sé, a gothic cathedral (the largest in Portugal) that are right in the heart of the city. You will have time to stroll through the streets of Évora and get to know the local crafts before lunch. Try the very rich local cuisine based mainly on pork, olive oil, soups, Alentejo bread and codfish dishes. Delicious!

Our next visit is to the ancient Roman city of Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986, showcasing roman, visigoth, muslim, and portuguese influence.
History intertwines with our present at every turn in Évora, a city filled with a tapestry of historical monuments over a millennium old. We commence our foot tour at the São Francisco Church and the Bones Chapels, lauded as a must-visit spot in Évora.
We continue towards the medieval core of the city where you will find the Cathedral (Portugal’s largest) as well as antiquated relics like the Roman Temple and Roman Baths.
You’ll also have a chance to sample olive oil, spend some free time shopping, and relish a local meal… definitely, don’t miss out on the local cuisine. Be sure not to miss the 2027 European Cultural Capital.
