Additional Information

Our hotel initiative starts around 07:00am to ensure you don’t miss out on witnessing the big 5. Early morning safaris are the perfect times to spot Lions; we guarantee to exit the park by 4pm. Passengers are ferried by road from Livingstone for an approximate 1 hour journey to Kazungula. Here is a single border stop where you’ll undergo passport checks for both Zambia and Botswana, just after crossing the newly built Kazungula bridge. The assigned guide on the Botswana side will be there to greet you. Upon meeting the guide, you’ll proceed to our Botswana office for a brief overview of the upcoming activities.

Post briefing, the guides will determine whether to kickstart with a game drive, followed by lunch and then a river safari cruise, or vice versa.

The park holds a plethora of wildlife including Lions, African painted dog, blue wildebeest, Cape buffalo, civet, crocodile, giraffe, hippopotamus, hyena, leopard, lion, puku (a unique type of antelope, classified as Near Threatened), savanna elephant, tseessebe, zebra, and a lot more.

A very nice trip on the water and on land in Chobe National Park - This was a great full day trip. We came over by bus from Zambia, and then crossed into Namibia and Chobe National Park. We spent the first half of the day on the water and then had lunch at the park restaurant, and then went out on a Safari where we got a lot of time seeing wildlife up close. It was pretty uncrowded when we were there so we got to stop and watch the surroundings and just take it in. All in all a very good trip with excellent guides.

Great trip - It was a well organised tour which packed a lot into one day. The lunch was very good. It would have helped if the Provider had responded to calls and messages to confirm the pickup. As it was, the pickup was fine

Great experience, a must have done Safari - The trip was well organized, especially considering the many handovers you have. Everyone was there on time to pick us up for the next part. All guides and drivers were very friendly and well-informed. The Safari itself was a great experience. We've seen all the expected animals in both parts, by car and by boat. We're impressed about how they respected the animals on one side and yet managed to come closer to them as in any other Safari we did. One hint to the company. It should be mentioned that you need a multiple-entry visa for Zambia, or you have to pay for another visa when coming back. Otherwise we just can recommend the trip as well as the tour operator.

A FULL DAY EXPLORING - Excellent service from Livingston into Botswana... the border crossing was fast & very efficient. No lines. The boat ride was wonderful with up from viewing of the grazing herds and especially those animals that are in and out of the water. Hippos, lizards, lots of crocodiles, elephants, and Buffalo. The land cruisers were open seating. It is hot in October but dry.

Wonderful 1-day tour to Chobe Park in Botswana from Livingstone - Very well organised. Easy contact upfront by email with Emmanuel from Cherish Travel. I was picked-up from my hotel at 7 AM sharp, and we then drove to the border with Botswana (1,5 hour drive) where the driver helped with getting through customs (which is very easy!). Then I met my local Botswana tour guide with whom we visited - I was in a group that I met at the border of 6 more tourists - the Chobe national park. Started with a 3-hour River Safari, then a very nice lunch and in the afternoon an impressive 3-hr Game Drive. At 4:30 pm we were back at the border where my driver from Cherish Travel was waiting for me, and at 6 PM sharp we were back at my hotel in Livingstone. Well organised, nice people, everything perfect.

Great way to see all the animals! - The boat tour around Lake Chobe was great. We got so close to some of the animals that we could have reached out and touched them.

Half good and half bad, overall be carefull before booking, if you can - We were unlucky to have in our group a family with a small child, who was not interested in the safari and shouted or cried the whole time. She scared the animals several times and her parents did little to control her. The tour should advertise adults only, otherwise it may spoil the experience for everyone else. Also, the guide driver in the land part looked bored and in a rush all the time, in a stark contrast with the guide who was leading the boat trip, who was excellent! We have seen a lot of animals, especially on the water drive, which was truly fulfilling (except for the cries from the little girl)
