Additional Information

Our hotel initiative starts around 07:00am to ensure you don’t miss out on witnessing the big 5. Early morning safaris are the perfect times to spot Lions; we guarantee to exit the park by 4pm. Passengers are ferried by road from Livingstone for an approximate 1 hour journey to Kazungula. Here is a single border stop where you’ll undergo passport checks for both Zambia and Botswana, just after crossing the newly built Kazungula bridge. The assigned guide on the Botswana side will be there to greet you. Upon meeting the guide, you’ll proceed to our Botswana office for a brief overview of the upcoming activities.

Post briefing, the guides will determine whether to kickstart with a game drive, followed by lunch and then a river safari cruise, or vice versa.

The park holds a plethora of wildlife including Lions, African painted dog, blue wildebeest, Cape buffalo, civet, crocodile, giraffe, hippopotamus, hyena, leopard, lion, puku (a unique type of antelope, classified as Near Threatened), savanna elephant, tseessebe, zebra, and a lot more.

A FULL DAY EXPLORING - Excellent service from Livingston into Botswana... the border crossing was fast & very efficient. No lines. The boat ride was wonderful with up from viewing of the grazing herds and especially those animals that are in and out of the water. Hippos, lizards, lots of crocodiles, elephants, and Buffalo. The land cruisers were open seating. It is hot in October but dry.

Wonderful 1-day tour to Chobe Park in Botswana from Livingstone - Very well organised. Easy contact upfront by email with Emmanuel from Cherish Travel. I was picked-up from my hotel at 7 AM sharp, and we then drove to the border with Botswana (1,5 hour drive) where the driver helped with getting through customs (which is very easy!). Then I met my local Botswana tour guide with whom we visited - I was in a group that I met at the border of 6 more tourists - the Chobe national park. Started with a 3-hour River Safari, then a very nice lunch and in the afternoon an impressive 3-hr Game Drive. At 4:30 pm we were back at the border where my driver from Cherish Travel was waiting for me, and at 6 PM sharp we were back at my hotel in Livingstone. Well organised, nice people, everything perfect.

One of the best days of my life! - Everything was just amazing and felt like a luxury trip. My wonderful driver Mwangeluia picked me up from the hotel at exactly at 7 in the morning and took me back at 6pm. Having some mobility problems was not a problem as I got all the help I needed during the day. During the game drive we saw all the big animals very closely. Our lunch spot was really beautiful resort and boat cruise was amazing as well. It was one of the best days of my life!

Highly recommend - While not many animals were seen due to the weather and season, it was still a great experience and saw a fair amount of animals. Very well organized throughout and everyone was super friendly and knowledgeable.

So many elephants! - I highly recommend the Chobe Safari Day Trip experience! Emmanuel picked me up directly from my hotel and provided such interesting and engaging local cultural insight during the hour-long drive to the border. He is very knowledgeable about the region and easy to communicate with. Everything was arranged with the full day experience including border crossings, transport to the boat, lunch, game drive, and then transport back to the border. We saw so many incredible sites on the boat tour and the game drive including over 100 elephants! We even got to see some elephants crossing the river! The guides shared interesting information about the animals and the region including the history of the island in the Chobe River. Emmanuel dropped me back at my hotel about 6pm after a fabulous day in Chobe, Botswana.

Great way to see all the animals! - The boat tour around Lake Chobe was great. We got so close to some of the animals that we could have reached out and touched them.

Fun thing to do when on your first trip to Africa - It was fun and we saw quite a few animals (no big cats though). Don't expect a full day though. You get about two hours on the river and about 2 hours in a jeep. The rest is waiting around. Still very good.
