Say yes to Nicola Scovenna private tour experience — esp if your in town on a cruise - I loved this experience! I booked the Florence & Piza tour several months ago with Susy—who is amazing, by the way—when I knew I'd be in town on a cruise. I didn't want to book an excursion; I wanted a more personal, local experience, and that's exactly what I got.

 Our driver was Paolo! He was amazing, on time, and personable. Request him if you can! He told great stories and gave us a wonderful insight into what Tuscany had to offer. His communication was great from the moment we were about to step off the ship. He greeted us with a sign with my name on it and had a clean, comfortable vehicle. We got lucky as we got to Florence earlier than expected. It usually takes 2 hours during rush hour, but we got there in an hour and a half. He let us explore the town for about two hours, made sure to let us know where everything was, including the cathedral and the leather district, and greeted us with water before we headed to our next destination—a wine tour. We also booked the wine tour through Nicola Scovenna's company as well. It was with Fattoria San Michele a Torri and in the countryside. The wine experience was great and ended up being a private tour for my sister, and I. Paolo waited for us the entire time. Afterward, we ventured to Paola's hometown of Piza and explored a little, including seeing the Tower of Piza.

 The only negative aspect of the experience was that it had to end. I'll definitely book again and will share it with my friends!!

Also, a note Suzy, who was on top of communications in helping me set up our plans, was incredibly kind and also did her work. I accidentally booked this experience with pick-up from the wrong port. Susy reached out to verify my cruise details and alerted me that I gave them information for the wrong port and swiftly updated it.

He did what we asked - not what was scheduled. We could tell he wanted us to enjoy is country. - 1 st plus was "on time" He was there and waiting when we got off the ship. One museum filled our bucket list so we asked to go to wine country. so beautiful and amazing. Best little sandwich shop in the park along the way. we enjoyed every minute.

Another incredible excursion with Nicola's Company! - This was the third excursion we took with Nicola Scovenna NCC and it was amazing! Our family of three adults and three children (11, 13, 15) were met at the pier in La Spezia promptly. as planned. Paolo, our driver and guide for the day was charming, extremely knowledgeable, informative, friendly and professional! We all loved him, especially our kids! At our quick stop in Pisa we were surprised by Matteo our driver on two previous tours! It was so sweet, thoughtful and touching to have him meet us and for him to meet our daughter and grandchildren! Having travelled with this company before, we felt like family! On the way to Florence, Paolo stopped so that we could get beautiful views of the landscape, a vineyard and Florence. Our time in Florence was perfectly planned, as Paolo recommended the best restaurant for our family and after some free time, some members of our group did the climb of the Duomo's stairs which had previously been arranged for the company. We could not have had a better day! From the planning, with Nicola and Susy who are always available with suggestions to tailor trip that accommodates all ages, to the driver guides who are warm, outgoing, knowledgeable and professional, to the care and concern for the travelers and even the immaculate new vehicles I highly recommend this company! I have used them before and recommended them to others and each time we've had a spectacular experience!

Private Driver/Tour guide to Florence and Pisa - I strongly recommend this private tour company - My husband, son and I had a great time and were able to see whatever we wanted at our own time and pace. We were not at the time constraint of a 20-40 person tour group. Well worth the money and would only book a private tour from now on.

The BEST shore excursion of our Med Cruise Vacation! - We couldn't have asked for a better experience with Maria Clara and Nicola Scovenna tours! Maria was like having a local relative show us around and allowed us to choose what was most important to us to see on our shore excursion. The car was comfortable for the five of us - so much so that we fell asleep on the way to Florence! Maria Clara was very knowledgeable and shared lots of great tips for us including where to grab some delicious snacks. This was by far my favorite day!

Great Tour--Great Guide - We had 8 tour guides while on our trip to Spain, France & Italy and Maria Clara was by far the best guide we had. She was charming and knowledgeable and had an excellent command of the English language. I was experiencing some back pain and she was more than accommodating and sympathetic. We not only talked about the history of the area but also shared a little about our lives and common experiences. You would be very lucky to have Maria Clara as your tour guide to this amazing and beautiful region.

Terrific Tuscany tour! - If you are coming on a cruise ship to the area, I would highly recommend using Nicola Scovenna Tours instead of a ship excursion. The individualized attention and custom designed tour was such a better value. We all had a wonderful time with Paolo on our tour. He was so attentive and made everything on our tour “to do” list possible; from seeing The Leaning Tower in Pisa to finding wine windows in Florence, visiting Academia , and making a reservation at an authentic Italian restaurant. Even when the museum was running behind on our scheduled entry time, he called Trattoria Sostanza to let them know. We felt very comfortable with him and appreciated his efforts. Now I am back home in the States, but will definitely use this company again for any future travels to theTuscany region.

A wonderful day with a highly knowledgeable driver/guide from our ship in Livorno to the Cinque Terra and return. - Nick met us near the steps from our ship and drove us in a very comfortable Mercedes minivan. He is both the driver and a very knowledgeable guide and asked us what our interest was in touring the CinqueTerra in order to craft a personalized tour. He arranged for a guide to meet us and escort us throughout our day. Lisa, our guide, helped us get tickets for the ferry on the way to Manarola and for the train upon our end of the trip and escorted us back to Nick. We were back to our ship in plenty of time before it sailed. Nick has excellent English and told us many interesting facts during our ride from the ship and our ride returning to our ship. We highly recommend this experience.

A trip of a lifetime! - To rate Nicola Scovenna a 5 out of 5 is an insult. They deserve at least a 10, but it wasn't a choice. After contacting Suzy we agreed on a package , getting us between 4 cities. She suggested turning the longest leg from Rome to Sienna into a day trip vs. just going from point A to point B. It was a memorable day with new friends. We made several stops along the way including Orvieto (with an awesome lunch), Pienza, Montepulciano and the De'Ricci wine cellar, and on to Sienna. The day couldn't have been better. Additional legs to Livorno and Florence (through Pisa)went better than planned, with helpful local history and suggestions of more places to explore along the way. All our drivers were professional, friendly and timely. Our experience couldn't have been better.
