If you have Walking tour included the tour will terminate a the characteristic Central Market where you will have the opportunity to taste many local dishes and by excellent local products

  • Palazzo Pitti - Visit this historic palace, which became the main home of the ruling families of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany. It was the centre of government for the 300 years that Tuscany was a monarchy. Later the palace was used as a base by Napoleon. During the Risorgimento, for a short time it was the royal palace of the newly united Italy.

  • Ponte Vecchio - Walk through Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) a medieval stone closed-spandrel segmental arch bridge noted for the shops built along it.

  • Campanile di Giotto - Admire a free-standing campanile that is part of the complex of buildings that make up Florence Cathedral.
The unusual position of the bell tower, aligned with the facade, reflects the desire to give it great importance as a sign of strong verticality at the center of the Insula Episcopalis, as well as probably the practical need to free the view of the apse area for the large dome, foreseen since Arnolfian project. Giotto provided an original design for the bell tower, with a pyramidal cusp termination 50 Florentine arms high (about 40 metres), according to which the total elevation should have been approximately 120-125 metres. A drawing preserved in the Museo dell’Opera del Duomo in Siena is considered by some scholars to be inspired by this project.

  • Piazza della Signoria - Walk through this square in front of the Palazzo Vecchio, also shared with the Loggia della Signoria. It is the main point of the origin and history of the Florentine Republic and gateway to Uffizi Gallery.

  • Basilica of Santa Croce - Walk through this square where you can admire Basilica di Santa Croce, one of the largest Franciscan churches and one of the greatest Gothic achievements in Italy, and has the rank of minor basilica. It is an Italian national monument.

  • Galleria Palatina in Palazzo Pitti - Visit Palatine Gallery, is a museum housed in Palazzo Pitti in Florence. Housed within the architectural complex, it is located on the main floor, divided into 28 rooms that extend into the rear northern lateral wing of the architectural complex and into the northern lateral part and central rear part of the main building of the palace.

This is the “picture gallery” of the Grand Dukes of Tuscany: the layout in fact respects the taste of past centuries, with the paintings placed in several rows, selected for decorative criteria, and not by period and schools. Chronologically, with a few exceptions, the paintings mainly cover the 16th and 17th centuries, making it one of the most important museums of its kind in Italy, as well as an obligatory stop for learning about the history of European collecting.

  • Basilica di San Lorenzo - Walk through Basilica of San Lorenzo, one of the main Catholic places of worship in Florence, located in the square of the same name in the historic center of the city. It is one of the churches that compete for the title of the oldest in the city and has the dignity of a minor basilica[1]. The San Lorenzo market is held near the church.
  • Mercato Centrale - Visit Central Market, one of the results from the time of risanamento, during the late nineteenth century. Inside, is possible to find primary ingredients of Tuscan cuisine, fruits and vegetable stands as well as nuts and spices. Outside, you can find leather goods.
  • Duomo - Admire Florence Cathedral and its complex which includes the Baptistery and Giotto’s Campanile. These three buildings are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site
  • Leaning Tower of Pisa - If selected you have the chance to climb this iconical tower, known for its nearly four-degree lean, the result of an unstable foundation.
  • Camposanto - Look at Monumental Cemetery, where the legend claims that bodies buried in that ground will rot in just 24 hour.

Tour was ok… - Tour was good. Could have spent a little less time in Florence and more time in Pisa. Had an hour and a half in Pisa but when you add in the walking time from the bus to where you have to go take off 20min each way. Then only had time to wait for our tower time and walk up and down then back to the bus.

On your own walking around Florence - The bus ride and commentary on the bus was great. This option is very good if you want to explore Florence on your own. If you want to listen to a guide in Florence, you should pick another tour. On this tour, You can follow the guide to all the main sites in Florence but you don't have a whisper and the guide doesn't have a Microphone.

Just okay - The company pushed back our tour a hour the day before and had wrong information about what time we had to be back to port. The driver was great. The tour guide was terrible. Guide would cross the street as the light changed or another group passed thru and never checked to see if anyone was falling behind. A fast march through Florence with no information at the stops. You get 90 mins on your own but it’s a 30 min walk to the bus. Pisa was fun. We got back to the shop on time. I would have rather explored Florence on our own.

The guide was just okay - Did not speak English well and talked too much on the phone. - Need a better tour guide! Attractions were of course good. Walking from the bus was just too much in scorching sun.

Nice, but huge crowds - Tour guide did not have a flag, and many times walked too fast. It was a problem because there were enormous crowds. However, Francesco was a very nice and helpful guide.
