Whales Watching

The Blue Whale is the largest creature ever to have lived on earth. Their tongues alone can weigh as much as an elephant, and their hearts as much as a car. Amazingly, this giant of the ocean feeds on tiny shrimp-like animals called krill. A single adult blue whale can consume 3,600 kg of krill a day. The whale’s mouth has a fascinating row of plates fringed with bristles to help filter its main source of food. With each mouthful, the whale can hold up to 5,000 kg of water and plankton. After forcing the water out of its mouth, the whale licks the bristles with its fleshy tongue. Although the blue whale is a deep-water hunter, as a mammal, it occasionally swims in small groups but usually alone or in pairs. Blue whales are one of the loudest animals on the planet.

7-day all-round carefree package - Bhathiya was recommended to us by a friend and we were delighted that he was able to arrange a fantastic 7-day tour very spontaneously. We really enjoyed Bhathiya's tour thanks to his experience and extensive knowledge of the places visited. It was a carefree experience as Bhathiya took care of everything and the hotels met our needs. The hotels always had a great view too. Often he even arranged discounts for us which probably saved us 50-100€. If someone only expects 4 or 5 star hotels, this can also be discussed with Bhathiya, which is certainly not a problem. The restaurants selected were all very good too. Although the schedule was tight, Bhathiya always took the time to show us everything. We also had some unplanned stops aimed at showcasing local products. These stops included e.g. free visits to a tea factory, a spice garden and a souvenir shop with handmade wood/batik works with an option to purchase at the end of the tour. The overall impression of the tour was very positive.
