Highlights
  • Angels Flight Railway - Located just across the street from our meeting spot, this 1901 funicular marks the beginning and end of the Historic Core and More Tour. We start at the base and conclude at the top. Your guide will share the history and tips on riding this DTLA icon.
  • Grand Central Market - Our headquarters is DTLA’s top destination, featuring over 40 food and beverage vendors. It’s the ideal spot for breakfast or lunch before or after the tour.
  • Bradbury Building - Constructed in 1893, this stunning Victorian Era building is famous for its appearances in films like The Artist, 500 Days of Summer, and Bladerunner. We park the bikes and head inside to admire the ironwork and birdcage elevator—an experience you won’t get on a bus tour.
  • Los Angeles - We’ll visit Crypto Arena, home to the LA Lakers, Sparks, and LA Kings. Adjacent to the LA Live Sports and Entertainment Complex, it’s where LA gathers for professional sports and is also home to the Grammy Museum. Star Plaza features larger-than-life bronze statues of stars like Kobe, Magic, and Shaq, among others. Nearby, you can view LA’s Graffiti Towers at Ocean Wide Plaza for a limited time.
  • City Hall - The seat of city government and a popular filming location, you’ll recognize it from TV and movies. It’s also next to the courthouse where notable trials, including OJ Simpson’s, took place.
  • The Last Bookstore - California’s largest bookstore, featuring book sculptures, anchors the Historic Core neighborhood. Once the hub of the West Coast’s banking industry, these grand former banks are now being transformed into unique lofts.
  • Olvera Street - The birthplace of Los Angeles, with many buildings dating back to the early 1800s. We take a break here, offering a chance to pick up souvenirs at the marketplace or enjoy an Aguas Frescas.
  • Union Station - Walk through this beautifully restored 1939 classic train station. Catch the Pacific Surfliner for a day trip to Santa Barbara or San Diego, or local lines to Hollywood and Pasadena. Your guide will explain it all.
  • Walt Disney Concert Hall - Frank Gehry’s architectural masterpiece, your guide will discuss the building’s quirks, secrets, and current uses as a premier performing arts venue.
  • Gloria Molina Grand Park - LA’s green space and event hub, we ride the length of the park while narrating park events and the surrounding municipal buildings.
  • Los Angeles Theatre - One of several vintage theaters on Broadway, this is where stars like Charlie Chaplin premiered films during Hollywood’s golden age. Now, they’re used for filming, special events, or being converted into retail spaces.
  • The Broad - Learn about Eli Broad and why there’s always a line outside. One of two free art museums on Grand Avenue, the heart of LA’s arts and culture scene.
  • Cecil Hotel - Discover the eerie history of LA’s haunted hotel, the subject of two Netflix true crime documentaries.
  • Spring Street Federal Courthouse - Located in the Civic Center neighborhood, we’ll pass by film and historical icons like City Hall, LAPD Headquarters, and the criminal courthouse.
  • Handlebar Bike Tours - Our base is the perfect spot for a pre- or post-ride meal, and our guides will share tips and tricks for navigating the bustling Grand Central Market.

LA by bike - Excellent and fun way to see the city. Tour director was excellent. Relatively flat surface for biking. The park you ride through has some ramps but not difficult .

Fantastic Downtown Tour - What a fantastic tour! Jen was super knowledgeable, well-prepared and organized. Her speaker/microphone allowed us to hear the tour as we rode our bikes downtown. Jen is an excellent guide and I highly recommend her.

Great day for in town guests - I had an out of town guest and was looking for something for him to do as I needed time to do life. Not only did he take one tour, he stayed for the second. The perfect day of being outside, learning about LA, and having a fantastic tour guide. I would highly recommend one or both tours. This Angeleno even learned a few things from him and and tour guide Jen.

Girl's Bike Tour Birthday Treat! - This was an unbelievable experience, way beyond my expectations. Three of us friends included Jen's bike tour as part of our itinerary for our recent birthday treats for ourselves and we're so glad we did. This was the one of the highlights of our weekend. Jen was fantastic at navigating us safely through the traffic and the city, never once did we feel unsafe. Jen provided us with frequent stops and imparted some insightful and interesting facts and stories along the way. The bikes and helmets are in mint condition. We're already planning our next bike tour with Jen. y
