Fun and Educational - We learned so much from our tour guide. He was so interesting that even our little children (4 and 6) were listening to him.

Using a Rollator - Ramps for using my Rollator were handy and easy to use. Being able to sit down on my Rollator allowed me to focus on the information during the excellent tour. Well done, Museum Folks.

Call to see what time the Excavator Tour is — right now it’s at 1 but could change - One thing to know that I didn’t see anywhere: Excavator Tour 1pm, M-F & 10:30am & 1pm, Weekends. We got here at 2pm so missed the tour even though paid for it. There is a “Discoveries from the Tar Pits” @ 3:30pm both weekdays & weekends so going to that to see what that is. Overall the museum & park is very cool. It’s jarring to think these big animals could not get out of the “tar”. It’s very informative, I think a great place for school-age kids. When you get the mammoths, bf the birds, look up at the upper wall and wait…very cool.

Good science for all ages! - A fun excursion in a bustling part of LA--good science for all ages. It's just enough--not too big an exhibit but still enough to spend a couple hours at. We did not attend the 3D show as it was not available during the time we were there.

Excellent Gem - The highlights are the bones which are well displayed and varied. The grounds are lovely and relaxing. The staff are enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable. It’s immaculately clean. This is my second visit; my first having been about 30 years ago and it’s just as delightful now as it was then.

Awesome, awesome and more awesome! - What a great place. Not overwhelming to young kids; just perfect amount of information before the zoomies start. Seems unbelievable that this site is only a short distance from Rodeo Drive and the Beverly Hills Hotel! My 11 y/o grandson really enjoyed seeing the professionals working on the tiniest fossils and Project 23. Every place that a tar pit had previously opened had a fence around, but outside some of the fences, the sun warmed the tar enough to touch it and leave a fingerprint. It was fabulous!

Something to do - Didn't bother with the museum, but walked around all the various pits. Not a lot to see and the one with the mammoths in showing any sign of activity.

If you have nothing else to do... - Took the kids, parking cost as much as the admission ticket. The observation pit was closed, didn't know that before we went. Wish I would have checked, b/c I wouldn't have wasted my time. Museum is very small. I had my teens and they were not thrilled at ALL.
