everything good, except for snorkeling - First of all, the boat and crew were excellent! The day was warm and sunny. It was a relaxing way to see the area from the water. The actual snorkeling lasted about 15-25 minutes. Took awhile to find some fairly calm water. Saw many fish, but most were very similar. Water was a little murky. Not many colorful fish. Lunch was very good IF you like tacos. Beef, pork and chicken. All good. Nice excursion, but not really a strong snorkeling event.

Wonderful Cabo Coastline with AMAZING lunch! - I’ll start with the best of the lunch cruise and snorkel. The tacos they prepared on the boat were like those you would get in a solid authentic restaurant-just superb. The cruise was wonderful because we went from the marina along the coast to Chilano bay. It was warm so there wasn’t a lot of dancing on board. They kept the music at a good volume so it wasn’t blaring. We met awesome people to hang with and really enjoyed ourselves. The crew also put safety first. We thought we might not snorkel because of rough water and safety concerns. It turned out that we did get in the water. If you’re a hard core snorkeled…this isn’t the tour to book. I saw fish..we also saw a turtle and seal during the ride. My 4 stars is for being picked up at the hotel and dropped off an hour early-clearly, so we would buy drinks at the adjacent bar. We didn’t really care for that..and we’d left money and credit cards at hotel..so we just had to sit the hour.

Disappointing snorkeling - Snorkeling was disappointing, everyone was required to wear lifejackets. Other parts of the trip were enjoyable.

Absolutely not for snorkeling. Worst snorkeling experience ever. - We did the Cabo Escape, and I clearly didn’t read enough reviews. Snorkeling was terrible. It wasn’t even snorkeling. We had poor visibility, the water was quite deep, so not much chance to see what few fish were around. They did not have fins for anyone to use, and we had a small space directly behind the boat that they kept yelling at us to stay in. Literally as soon as we got in they were yelling at people to come back on board. Maybe Cabo doesn’t have good snorkeling, maybe this just wasn’t the place to be. We have been snorkeling in Okinawa, in Hawaii, in St. Thomas, in Key West…maybe Cabo just isn’t the place to snorkel. I’m disappointed I spent that much money for what we got. Many, many “snorkelers” were stung by was could only have been jellyfish, or jellyfish larvae. The crew insisted they were “sea creatures that fly.” They had one little roll on med they were applying to everyone. They had no vinegar or anything similar on board to help with stings. The food was good, the drinks were good, and until the end, the crew was nice. When it came to tip time, my son grabbed the money from his dad to go put in the box- before his dad finished getting money out. When he put the tip in (admittedly very little- we weren’t done pulling money out of our wallets) the crew member holding the box shook a $100 USD bill at him as said “THIS is a tip.” We did add more, as planned all along, though that soured it a bit. I think it would be better to advertise this as a booze cruise with a swim opportunity, not snorkeling, because this absolutely was not snorkeling. I wish we had done the cheap water taxi to see the arch and called it a day.

More of a booze cruise. Do not recommend for snorkeling. - We booked a midday snorkeling tour out of San Lucas, hoping to get some time to snorkel and swim since most beaches here are not swimmable. Sadly this turned out to be more of a booze cruise than anything else. 90 minutes of loud dance music and cheap drinks, followed by not even 30 minutes to actually be in the water before we had to go back. Getting into and out of the water was an ordeal with the crown and the boat exhaust fumes making us sick. The captain picks the site and for some reason picked a spot with really poor visibility and not much to see. We probably saw more trash in the water than sealife. This I can’t blame on the company - maybe conditions were crappy everywhere that day, but I do blame them for not letting us have any time to look around for a spot that wasn’t murky. The staff were friendly and the food was actually decent, but the whole point was snorkeling and swimming which was a terrible experience. I rarely write reviews but I figured my 10 minutes here might save someone from losing a day of their vacation to this. If you’re looking for loud music and cheap drinks without a care for actual snorkeling then this is the event for you.

Do yourself a favor & pass on the water bobbing-bread tossing tour - The one star is for the crew, who (besides the captain as he didn't engage with many people) were nice enough with a couple that were actually great. The rest of the excursion, not so much. I will admit though that we ordered a "catamaran sailing snorkel cruise" and this was not at all what we bought, so that may or may not be on Cabo Escape but all the same it wasn't worthy of any stars. Had I known what I was really getting (I'm not even sure how to describe this, a motor party boat???) I would have made a hard pass. The boat was uncomfortable in it's gas-chugging glory, hard fiberflass or melamine seats, very few spots to sit in the sun and enjoy the ocean breeze and sea spray like a sail catamaran has, with blaring music on bad speakers everywhere. The boat was clean, but two bathrooms were out of TP by the return leg. Now for the snorkeling. That was an absolute joke. We were shuttled to a small beach with an even smaller snorkel area, had to wear life vests in the water without dispute, and dumped into very poor visibility water (sub 5') in the middle of some beach-goers, literally yelled at to stay within the tour "guide's" imaginary line, and then the crew threw chum bait - bread - out for the fish to come up. All I got was a few chunks of bread thrown at my face and a few dozen seagulls attacking the bread all around. Gross and un-fricking-believable. I have never witnessed anything so pathetic and amateur as this trip. I "bobbed" for 3 minutes and after the second batch of bread pellets I swam back to the boat, regretting wasting that much of my precious Cabo time on Joe Bob's bread bomb tour. The rest of the group lasted MAYBE 10-15 more minutes, it was just that bad even for those that had never done something like this before. Perhaps Cabo isn't the place to snorkel, seems like a lot of dead zones around the beaches, so great then just don't offer this joke of an excursion. The pic is literally the extend of the snorkeling, a pile of people bobbing up & down in about 50' radius nearly hitting each other as bread was tossed on them. So all in all we spent 3 hrs on a lame ass boat to park in murky water to eat decent tacos & drink cheap bar drinks. Wow.

Crowd, not really snorkeling, - The ocean was too rough to snorkel. They told us once we were 2 hours in to the ride taking our money and not telling us before, even though they knew. They then let us jump in water, life jackets required, threw food in the water and were able to "snorkel". The entire time they were yelling at us to stay near the boat and we weren't allowed to go near the reef. Thus the snorkeling was 60 people kicking each others while having food thrown in the water to attract fish. It was 4 hours of an afternoon wasted. So disappointed. The boat held about 60 people so you will be snorkeling with a crowd. "Lunch" was served at 300, spicy tacos. Needless to say bring snacks and water or better yet, don't take this excursion. Get a snorkel and fins and go to pelican bay for a 5$ taxi.

Read This Before you Book! Not a snorkeling experience! - I saw someone else write that this was the worst snorkeling experience they’ve ever had. I couldn’t agree more. First, the ride is not relaxing, it’s more of a party boat with clubbing music. I left with a headache. My boyfriend was given an extremely dirty life jacket. He didn’t mind it, but I did. I asked for a different one. Given him that one, I realized the strap loop was broken and digging into his skin. I took it back to which 3/8 employees made a big fuss about it. Telling me that he needs to be a man and come ask for it himself. They were giving me a bad time instead of just apologizing and throwing away the brown filthy and broken jackets. My boyfriend doesn’t mind but I do, so that’s why I went to exchange it. We paid money to be on this boat. I wanted him to be comfortable. FILTHY SNORKEL GEAR. I was literally gagging. It was disgusting to see that they simply dipped the previously used snorkel gear into a trash can with soapy water that smelled like mouthwash. I didn’t even use the mouthpiece because I was so grossed out. I tried to clean the inside of the goggles with my skirt. To which a ton of black gunk came off. was Absolutely gross. So I just wore them as is instead of trying to clean them further and dirty my skirt more. They don’t make use of their labor properly. Instead of having 8 employees standing around on the boat eating and asking people if they want drinks why not have one do that and the rest clean the goggles properly. You’re put into the water with about 60 other people, splashing, kicking, and bumping into you. For about 20 minutes with tortillas thrown into the water to attract the fish. My life jacket was so loose it was uncomfortable and I was slipping through it. I went to wash my hands before eating and there was no soap or sanitizer in the bathroom. I cannot make this up. It was awful. I cried afterwards because I wanted to do something fun with my last day in Cabo. I thought snorkeling would be fun. I genuinely feel like this is a scam, it’s advertised as something totally different. This is the worst activity we did by far. Not only will you waste your money but also 3 hours of your vacation time. I can’t be the only person to feel this way. Most people just say at the tables looking miserable. A booze cruise isn’t what they paid for. We wanted a snorkeling experience.

Worst Snorkeling experience - Advertised as Cabo Escape Snorkel Fun to lure in tourists for a snorkeling adventure when it really is a party boat with an option of snorkeling. The cruise is great if you want to drink booze and be on a party boat with loud music, eat lunch on a boat, and hang out for a couple hours. If you’re looking to snorkel, it’s the worst experience. It’s a long boat ride to get to the snorkeling destination, maybe 40 mins to an hour. They provide googles and snorkel, but note there is only one size available, so if you pay for kids, it likely won’t fit. Fins aren’t provided. The total snorkel time was not long, maybe 30 mins total to get in and out of the water, and there’s a lot of people. Everyone was pretty much in the same area since it was difficult to explore. It was really crowded and uncomfortable. They throw some tortilla in the water to get some fish to see, but aside from that, there wasn’t much to see. Then they call you on the boat for lunch. Then you’re on the boat again to head back for another 40 mins to hour. The lunch was decent, but I could do without it. Wanted a good, let alone decent snorkeling experience and this was the worst.
