Hidden Gems of Cabo - The tour was tremendous from start to finish. Our guide, Jonathan, met us outside of Caboland as scheduled. The meeting point and finding him could not have been easier. He took us into neighborhoods that we would not have ventured into on our own. We were safe and felt safe. The neighborhoods were quiet and contained some of the best family owned restaurants. He took us to four of his favorites. We started with an Aqua Fresca followed by ceviche. Mary Jean got shrimp and I tried a local white fish - both were tremendous. He taught us how to eat it as well as how it was prepared. We then went to a place that only served pork and had carnitas and pork rinds with a local beer. He then took us to a place that specialized in birria and had an amazing taco along with another local beer. He explained Mexican cuisine and erased a number of false impressions that we had. Jonathan was very knowledgable and made the experience what it was. Not only did he know the restaurants but he knew the food and history. He made the experience worth the money. We finished with desert and left full - of food, knowledge, and memories that we are sure to share.

Great experience - Jonathan was amazing. He educated us about the Mexican food and culture. Took us to some of the local food spots with great food. The staff of the restaurant were also really nice. Great experience. Would definitely recommend.

highly recommend - we booked this experience in hopes to find some off the beaten tourist path food and it delivered! our guide jonathan was knowledgeable, friendly, funny and clearly passionate about food and culture. we loved everything we tasted and went back to more than one of the restaurants before our trip was over. i highly recommend this tour! when we go back, we’ll book the dinner experience next :)

Authentic Food Experience - We wanted authentic Mexican food, and that is what we got, and lots of it. Jonathan was a great tour guide, sharing the history of food, both Mexican and otherwise.

A great way to learn about and taste the local flavors - This was a great way to find the hidden gems off the beaten path in Cabo San Lucas. My husband and I did the 11am tour, which ended up being the two of us with our guide. It was a wonderful experience and we learned a lot about the history of Mexican food as well as the local spots we visited. We did the 11am tour, which allowed us to experience restaurants and menus that offer breakfast and lunch tacos. We learned that the evening tour is a completely different experience, which I would love to try in a future trip to Cabo San Lucas. We began our walking tour by stopping for tasty, refreshing aguas frescas, after which we stopped for tacos de guisado at Doña Martha. I wanted to try every single variety that they had in the clay pots, but knew I wouldn't want to try anything else after since I'd be too stuffed. I ended up choosing the nopales and another guisado that I recall having bacon in it, but I cannot recall the name. It was absolutely delicious and left me knowing I will be back to visit another time for more guisados. Next, we went to Los Michoacanos for delicious chicharrones, carnitas tacos, and a mushroomy huitlacoche quesadilla. Again, everything we tried was tasty. Our next stop took us to El Meson Mexicano for delicious birria con consommé. We rounded out the trip with a little ice cream treat (I chose a mango and tajin frozen fruit bar). It was a delicious way to learn a bit more about the local food culture and we had a wonderful time.

Bring Your Appetite - Very knowledgeable guide, he was proud of the fresh local restaurants where he took us. I learned a lot about Mexican cooking traditions. We ate so much food, I couldn't eat another bite when we were done!

Well worth it! - Had a great experience with Johnathan! He provided interesting insights and the local fare was fantastic! Would do it again!
