You will get a beautiful 100g of hand-made scented candle in a pottery. We work with the Lao Disabled Women’s Development Center to craft beautiful candle jars. While we are waiting for our candles to set, we will learn the Lao tea ceremony with local snacks. This is a wonderful experience that will remind you of the trip to Luang Prang. Our studio is like a candle Lab and seems to be the first to offer complete professional equipment and a range of scents, especially oriental scents for experimenting together.

Gai Artisan Candles - Workshop Luangprabang
Highly recommended to walk, ride bicycle or motorbike to the Old French Bridge only 5 minutes from the city center. Continue to the junction and turn right about 200 meters. We are located inside the paper factory and next to Tao Hai Temple. *No car and Tuk Tuk are allowed to cross this bridge.

Amazing Workshop! - The workshop was amazing! I had such a fun time creating the aroma candle! Gai was lovely and took the time explaining everything. She even held the workshop although it was just me. Would definitely recommend!

Fun and creative space to be - Gai Artisan Gallery is such a cozy, fun and creative space. I cannot choose the aroma oil scented as they all are very good choices. I can easily spent a day here making different kind of candles with different scents. Highly recommended either as a solo or group activity.

My day at Gai's Artisan Candles - One of the more authentic candle making experiences that you can find in Luang prabang, I visited this shop with my mother to buy some candle and I can say that the quality of the candles are top notch and they are nothing like the cheap candles you find in the market these days where are after a couple of times of using it the scent and the candle wax seems to dry off. These candles are nothing like that they give out a long lasting smell and a refreshing one at that too. If you ever visit luang prabang Gai's Artisan Candles is a must visit.

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication - I had such a good experience doing this candle making workshop while I was travelling in Luang Prabang. It’s recommended for those who would love to enjoy a good time while also doing such a creative workshop!

Amazing candles and experience :) - This was such an amazing experience! It was wonderful, not only to spend time mixing smells, and learning about candle making, but also to learn about Lao culture through this process. The staff are so friendly and kind :) they made the process very relaxing and comfortable, even as a solo traveler. Additionally, the products are well sourced and give back to other Lao businesses, making it a wonderful community-contributing experience.

A unique sensory experience! - Gai's candle workshop was a total sensory experience from creating my own unique blend of essential oil scents, tasting aromatic Lao teas to watching Gai paint on handmade paper boxes to personalise our creations. Now, every time I light my candle the soothing scent transports me back to the tranquility of Luang Prabang and its friendly people. I totally recommend this workshop. Thank you, Gai!

Candle Making in a Calm and Beautiful Setting - I went here on a trip with my family. This was one of the best experiences we had our whole trip. The setting and ambience when you walk into the studio is beautiful and Gai is a real professional who offers her guests a really personal and relaxing experience. The tea ceremony was a super surprise touch afterwards. Everyone should stop here!
