Wonderful way to explore the tastes of Italy! - Sylvia welcomed us into her home for a cooking class in our time in Lucca! She was incredibly hospitable and shared fabulous Italian recipes with us that we got to enjoy together at her kitchen table that afternoon.

While in Lucca don't miss out on this incredible experience! - This cooking class with Mamma (Sylvia) was the highlight of our trip to Lucca. Mamma was warm and inviting from the time we arrived at her home. It was just me and my friend in the cooking class and was all hands on. Mamma walked us through the steps of preparing brushetta, pasta and tiramisu. Mamma is an awesome chef! While we enjoyed our meal Mamma sat with us and shared some laughs....and vino. This is a must while visiting Lucca. Don't miss the opportunity to learn from Mamma the secrets to making perfect pasta.

Yummy - The mammas who taught us were so gracious. They were attentive but had us do the cooking. The table was beautifully set and the food was delicious. Would highly recommend this experience.

Incredible experience - We had the best time cooking pasta with Novella and Marco. They were so friendly and funny, it really made our time in Lucca very enjoyable. Novella opened up her home and made us feel part of the family. The food was amazing and we can’t wait to go back home and show what we’ve learned. Must do in Lucca!!

Wonderful Experience - We loved Lucina and her family! They were warm and welcoming. We laughed most of the evening and were entertained by stories of the family. Our family made ravioli and a noodle with pesto, along with Taramasu. Lucina corrected a few of our misunderstandings with making pasta. Making pasta is a labor of love and our family cannot wait to prepare it when we arrive home. I cannot recommend Lucina and her family highly enough (The experience was truly a family affair).

FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING! YouTube "How to Make Pasta" Instead - FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING! With Silvia, you won't make pasta, so Youtube it and save yourself about $200. The ONLY reason I signed up for this class was because of the title, "Tiramisu and Pasta" class. My friend and I always wanted to learn how to make pasta so we splurged for this experience. If only it was entitled, "Italian cuisine" then we would have skipped it. We made "gnudi" (spinach balls WITHOUT pasta). which were good, but that's not what we signed up for. All members of this English-speaking class expected to make pasta. At the end of the course, we were confused - wait a minute. We never made pasta! It was an enjoyable experience but it's like signing up for an Italian lesson and getting Spanish instead - nice, but not what was advertised. I contacted the instructor who became belligerent after I gently tried to communicate perhaps she should change the title of the class since English-speakers excpet pasta, not spinach balls. She was rude, kept shouting over the phone at me, interrupting, insisting I speak italian only to cut me off with demanding she made pasta. In the end, I had to hang up. The company gave me 20% refund. I wanted one of the 2 tickets refunded (meet me in the middle) but they said since I stayed until the end, those were the terms. (Yeah, we stayed until the end cuz we were waiting to make pasta!). P.S. As a vegetarian, while everyone was eating ham and foccacia, I was offered bread. That's just lazy! Offer cheese at least. Anyway, if you want an Italian quisine course, this is enjoyable. But a pasta class it is not, and God forbid you provide any feedback to the instructor! Her demeanor inspired me to share what happened to hopefully help someone else have this type of experience while trying to enjoy vacation!

Horrific. Do not do this event -EVER - This can’t even be rated -10 maybe. The most memorable.. you’re kidding. The whole thing was the worst. We walked out. What is memorable is my wife’s anger and disappointment. Was suppose to be a highlight for her. Completely unacceptable. I’ve travelled the world and utilized Hosts and services globally. Never have I felt so ripped off to this Extreme. I’ll be writing my reviews, included will be everyone involved. Viator included My wife and I were bait & switched. There was no Mama, no Papa either- The host was not the normal host but a kid who knew nothing. Could not even open a bottle of wine.
