Highlights
  • Colossi of Memnon - The Colossi of Memnon (Arabic: el-Colossat or es-Salamat) are two massive stone statues of the Pharaoh Amenhotep III, which stand at the front of the ruined Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III, the largest temple in the Theban Necropolis. They have stood since 1350 BC, and were well known to ancient Greeks and Romans, as well as early modern travelers and Egyptologists. The statues contain 107 Roman-era inscriptions in Greek and Latin, dated to between AD 20 and 250; many of these inscriptions on the northernmost statue make reference to the Greek mythological king Memnon, whom the statue was then

  • Valley of the Kings - The Valley of the Kings is also known as the Valley of the Gates. It is a valley in Luxor, Egypt where, for a period of nearly 500 years from the 16th to 11th century BC, rock-cut tombs were excavated for the pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom (the Eighteenth to the Twentieth Dynasties of Ancient Egypt).
The valley stands on the west bank of the Nile opposite Thebes (modern Luxor), within the heart of the Theban Necropolis. The wadi consists of two valleys: the East Valley (where the majority of the royal tombs are situated) and the West Valley (Valley of the Monkeys).
Almost all of the tombs seem to have been opened and robbed in antiquity, but they still give an idea of the opulence and power of the pharaohs

  • Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - The mortuary temple of Hatshepsut is a mortuary temple built during the reign of Pharaoh Hatshepsut of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt.
Located opposite the city of Luxor, it is considered to be a masterpiece of ancient architecture. Its three massive terraces rise above the desert floor and into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari.

  • Temple of Karnak - The Karnak Temple Complex, commonly known as Karnak, comprises a vast mix of decayed temples, pylons, chapels, and other buildings near Luxor, Egypt.

  • Luxor Temple - The Luxor Temple is a large Ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in the city today known as Luxor (ancient Thebes) and was constructed approximately 1400 BCE. In the Egyptian language it was known as ipet resyt, “the southern sanctuary”. It was one of the two primary temples on the east bank, the other being Karnak. Unlike the other temples in Thebes, Luxor temple is not dedicated to a cult god or a deified version of the pharaoh in death. Instead, Luxor temple is dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship; it may have been where many of the pharaohs of Egypt were crowned in reality or conceptually (as in the case of Alexander the Great, who claimed he was crowned at Luxor but may never have traveled south of Memphis, near modern Cairo).

Along with the other archeological sites in Thebes, the Luxor Temple was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979.

Reliable and flexible - On the occasion of an anniversary we organized a family trip to Egypt to see the most important Egyptian antiquities. We didn't do the classic cruise, we had a program condensed into a few days but carefully chosen to have the opportunity to visit the monuments that interested us most (in Luxor, Cairo and Abu Simbel) and possibly at times different from the standard travel times of group. We needed a flexible, reliable and not too expensive service of drivers and guides who would support us in the various visits and also in the various travels. After a few attempts which did not satisfy us, we found the reference of Luxor Safe Tours and tried to contact them. They understood our needs and gave us a very precise quote which we confirmed. The trip went as planned, the Egyptian antiquities are as wonderful as we expected and what's more we felt in the hands of very reliable people. Even when we had lunch following their instructions we were always happy. Safe Tours in name and in fact!

Last minute booking! - I booked a Luxor safe tour at the last minute and I was not disappointed. The tour operator, Mido, was very helpful and professional. He arranged a clean and comfortable car for me, and a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide, Hatem. Hatem was amazing. He showed me the best of Luxor, both the east and west bank. He explained the history and culture of the ancient sites, and answered all my questions. He was very patient and never got bored of me. He also took great photos of me and the monuments. The tour was well-organized and flexible. I had enough time to explore each place, and I never felt rushed or pressured. The price was reasonable and included the entrance fees, lunch, and water. I highly recommend Luxor safe tours to anyone who wants to see the wonders of Luxor with a reliable and friendly company. Thank you Mido and Hatem for making my day unforgettable!

Brilliant Tour Experience - We travelled in mid December 2023 and had an excellent and incredible experience. Mido the owner is brilliant , organised our guide and driver in Luxor for 2 days as well as arranging a guide/ driver in Cairo for our tour to Dahshur and Saqqarah. We hired a felucca also via the tour company which was an unforgettable sunset experience . Mido even arranged a transfer from Luxor to Hurghada for us. Everything was seemless, on time and great value for money. Don’t look anywhere else for help you won’t get any better.

Incredible experience! - Absolutely fantastic experience! Modi and Hatem were exceptional. Modi was an excellent driver, ensuring a smooth journey throughout. Hatem, our tour guide, is knowledgeable. He made the trip informative and engaging. We felt well taken care of from start to finish. We had to switch hotels and they both went the extra mile to ensure that this was possible during the tour. Highly recommend Modi and Hatem for a wonderful and comfortable experience!

Great experience!! - We had a great experience with our tour. My previous visit to egypt was troublesome due to the tour guides etc. And this time i wanted to find someone before arriving to not have the same problems. Starting from cairo we had private transport with very nice and new cars with air conditioning, we always had someone with us through our tour that guided and warned us and we always felt very safe. They asked what we wanted to do even before arriving, and only sticked with our schedule without any detours etc. We did not want to and was never brought to shops etc. They scheduled our events in Cairo, Luxor and aswan. We did a boat tour in cairo was brought to and back to our hotel safe with someone with us all the time so no one could bother us. Pricing and everything was on oint no last minute surprises. They set all our transports to and from airports and things were very easy and comfortable. I would highly recommend planning your tour ahead with them with transparent pricing, your own requested itinerary, and not hassling with street scams, taxi drivers etc. And to also have no surprises and a safe and fun time without having the stress!!

The perfect tour. - On the second day in Luxor, we went through all the part of Luxor with Mr. Amr Samir, our driver. In order to avoid crowds, we departed hotel at 6am. After 45min drive, we arrived at the valley of kings. We looked around Seti I, Ramses V and VI's tomb (both are subject to extra fare), Ramses IX, IV and VII's tomb. Since we got there before tour buses areived, we had quality time in Seti I and Ramses V and VI's and XI's. They were very splendid and colorful which we cannot miss. Also, newly opened Ramses VII's tomb was short but beautiful and quiet. After the valley of the kings, we visited the mortuary of queen Hatsepsut. It was magnificent and the scenery of the nile river and cultivation area around it was marvelous. Onr other spot we must see is the temple of Habu dedicated to goddess Hathor. It was not as famous as Hatsepsut mortuary or Ramesseum but personally it was the most beautiful and memorable architecture in the west bank. In the valley of queens, the tomb of Nefertari boasted the vivid color orlf its paintings. Then we visited Karnak temple and Luxor temple. We enjoyed huge buildings, colums, gigantic statues and obelisks. We were deeply satisfied with whole day with kindness of our driver Mr. Amr Samir and Mido.
