The most best life experience - The boat ride to Philae temple in Aswan was undoubtedly the most captivating aspect of our recent excursion. It marked the second occasion we had embarked on such an intimate aquatic venture, with the water's edge close enough to graze with our fingertips. The first such experience had occurred merely two days prior, which lent an initial sense of trepidation to this latest nautical journey. Our guide, Mahmoud (also known as Haggag), demonstrated a commendable spirit of adventure throughout the expedition. His amiable demeanor has left us eager to avail of his services once more in the future.

Recommended Aswan day tour - The Eternal Egypt day trip to Aswan was our best tour while in Egypt! Barry, our Egyptologist guide, was great—he was well equipped to handle our group's many questions and tailored the experience to meet our needs and interests. The Edfu and Philae temples, in particular, were breathtaking to visit—some of the best preserved sites we saw while traveling across Egypt. Highly recommend!

Nice trip - It is an incredible trip to do as a family and learn about the history of ancient Egypt. The trip from Aswan to Abu Simbel Temple is impressive, it is 3 hours of travel that is not really suffered thanks to the attention of the guide Ahmed Sony and his companions. They took us from one place to another very quickly and took us to a very good cafeteria. I totally recommend it.

Definitely avoid if you are a foreigner! - The monuments were fine, Temple of Isis at Philae was the best in my opinion, but the operator and the planning went terribly wrong. The tour did not last 11 hours, as advertised, even though we departed at 6:30 from the Luxor hotel. Instead of returning in Luxor at 17:30, we left Aswan at 16:30, without knowing that foreigners were not allowed to cross Governorate borders after 18:00. The driver gave us two poor choices, either take the old route (4 hours) with a blocade or take the new route (3 hours) but we would have to bribe the police at the two check-points. With his broken English, he gave no information about foreigners not being allowed to cross borders. At 9 pm, we got pulled over, taken out of the car and sent to a nearby train station, with the next train arriving in 2 hours. In this time, the company and the driver refused to help, did not want to pay for the train ticket (19 USD per person) and plainly stated they are unable to pay for the ticket. On top of that, the train passengers were aware no foreginers should travel after 18:00 and they were reluctant to have us in their train, but in the end we managed to get to Luxor at 12 am the next day. Definitely NOT an experience to recommend!
