Highlights
  • Temple of Karnak - Karnak temple \nThe Karnak Temple, with origins dating from approximately 2055 BC to 100 AD, was erected as a place of worship and dedicated to the deities Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. It stands as the most extensive structure ever built for religious activities, and the ancient Egyptians revered it as the ‘most select of places.’\nDuring the era of the New Kingdom, the Karnak Temple Complex became the epicenter of the old religion when Thebes (now known as Luxor) was the focal point of power, a fact that is evident in its vast scale.\nBeyond its spiritual importance, the complex also functioned as a treasury, administrative hub, and royal residence for the pharaohs of the New Kingdom. It remains the biggest temple complex in existence across the globe.\n\n- Luxor Temple - Luxor temple \nSituated on the eastern bank of the Nile River in southern Egypt, the city of Luxor, often referred to as the World’s Largest Outdoor Museum, is home to the Luxor Temple, an emblem of Ancient Egyptian grandeur and a magnificent edifice amidst the contemporary city.\nUnlike other temples in Luxor, the Luxor Temple was not constructed to honor a deity or celebrate the divine aspect of kings and pharaohs. Rather, it was dedicated to the concept of royal regeneration. It is believed that numerous rulers may have been inaugurated at the Luxor Temple, whether in actuality or symbolically, as in the case of Alexander the Great, who professed to have been crowned in Luxor. However, historical evidence suggests he never ventured further south than Memphis, now known as Cairo.

Excellent Tour! - Abdul was our tour guide on this trip. Not only is he knowledgeable, but he is extremely kind. He will go out of his way to make sure that you have a pleasurable experience. Abdul picked us up promptly from our hotel and we visited three sites, visited a few shops and had lunch before being dropped off to the airport. We visited Valley of Kings, Karnak Temple and the Queen’s Temple! I highly recommend Abdul and he will be my go to if I ever return to Luxor!

Get to know the beauty of Egypt and its compassionate people without a single worry! - We had an absolutely great time in Egypt due to Abdul / King Tut Tours and his team. We booked a customised package with Abdul, and he not only took care of our time in Luxor, but also arranged tours for us in Cairo and in Aswan. All our tours were private and the pricing was very reasonable for it. For us it was a really nice feeling to know that everything is well-taken care of and we don’t have to worry about anything and can just enjoy our time. In general, I absolutely recommend booking a guide in Egypt - many sites don’t really have a lot of explanations and signs, so if you really want to understand a site, you do need a guide to explain things to you. In the Luxor area we had the same driver and guide for three days, which was a very pleasant experience because you get used to the person. The guide, Abdul’s cousin Isa, was knowledgeable but above all extremely funny and we had a great time with him. Our driver was also a very warm and loving person. Even the small things like the lunches in between were very well organised, we received so much water through out the day. Our special highlight was the hot air balloon ride over Luxor. Abdul has his own team, and we were slightly anxious to do this but we’re felt super safe during the whole trip. Unfortunately we had to leave Egypt early due to a family emergency, and again Abdul and his team took such great care of us, thought along with us on how we can return to the Netherlands as quickly as possible and gave us so much truly heartfelt support. It really touched us to feel everyone’s compassion. We truly feel like we have a group of friends in Egypt now. I could not recommend Abdul and his team enough.

Amazing day at the temples of Luxor - We spend 1 wonderful day at Luxor temples. Our guide Abdul was really passionate to explain us all the Egyptian history behind those temples and amazing scenery. Its a must on Luxor. Abdul also gave us his phone number and advised us about the rest of our trip out of kindness. One of the most VFM tours you can find! I undoubtedly recommend this tour and especially the great guide and man Abdul!

Luxor & Valley of the Kings - We were on a trip to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings with our guide Ramzi, who talked about the history, culture and the pharaohs dynasty of ancient Egypt in an interesting way. Thanks to our guide, I got more interested about this era of Egypt. I look forward to visit Egypt soon again and get more excursions from Ramzi.

Incredible Luxor - Have been in Luxor in June this year and must say it was amazing. Would like to express my gratitude to our guide Ramzi who has a huge experience and knowledge of Egyptian culture and history, has perfect English and gives his best support and help during the whole day of excursion. I love Egypt, it was my 5th time there, and for sure next time coming will choose the same ‘teacher’ to guide me through incredible Egyptian world… For sure will recommend Ramzi to my friends as he is a real professional and very nice person. Thanks a lot 😍
