It remains the biggest temple complex in existence across the globe.\n\n- Luxor Temple - Luxor temple \nSituated on the eastern bank of the Nile River in southern Egypt, the city of Luxor, often referred to as the World’s Largest Outdoor Museum, is home to the Luxor Temple, an emblem of Ancient Egyptian grandeur and a magnificent edifice amidst the contemporary city.\nUnlike other temples in Luxor, the Luxor Temple was not constructed to honor a deity or celebrate the divine aspect of kings and pharaohs. Rather, it was dedicated to the concept of royal regeneration. It is believed that numerous rulers may have been inaugurated at the Luxor Temple, whether in actuality or symbolically, as in the case of Alexander the Great, who professed to have been crowned in Luxor. However, historical evidence suggests he never ventured further south than Memphis, now known as Cairo.

Excellent Tour! - Abdul was our tour guide on this trip. Not only is he knowledgeable, but he is extremely kind. He will go out of his way to make sure that you have a pleasurable experience. Abdul picked us up promptly from our hotel and we visited three sites, visited a few shops and had lunch before being dropped off to the airport. We visited Valley of Kings, Karnak Temple and the Queen’s Temple! I highly recommend Abdul and he will be my go to if I ever return to Luxor!
