The best experience we had in Egypt! - We booked the tour really late and Walid responded very quick and easy by Whatsapp. He picked us up in front of our hotel the same day at 2:30. We drove to Karnak temple in the back of a really nice car. When we got there we got over ruled by the beauty of the complex. Walid explained everything super easy, he is really wel bespoken in English and answered every question we had. He knew every spot in the complex, took us to the most beautifull places for photo’s (he is a superb photographer as well). Every minute the complex got even better as the sun got down. When we finished at Karnak (2 hours) we got picked up by the driver ditectly at the exit and we drove to Luxor Temple. Here again, great tour and super much information. The pictures were even better because of the sunset. All in all we loved every second of it. Walid made sure we didn’t have to worry about anything and we felt very safe and comfortable the whole trip. The driver is also a very kind man! It was a 10/10! Highly recomended!

Rania is the best guide in Luxor ! - Rania is an absolutely amazing tour guide. Communication with her has been very easy from the start. We arranged everything before the trip and she sent a nice guide to come and pick us even if we landed rather late. Next day she showed up on time and took us for our tour. She told us so many interesting stories, explained very well the history of the new kingdom and ensured that in the space of 11 hours we ticked all the boxes on the different places we wanted to visit (west and east side) with plenty time to look around and lots of explanations. During the day we also had time for a superb lunch on a roof terrace in the shade :-) and overlooking the Nile - amazing food!! (Much recommend the lentil soup). We also had time for a stop at shops selling alabaster, cotton and essences. We purchased what we wanted but we never felt pushed and it was nice to have breaks from the sun (in air conditioned rooms and with fresh drinks). Rania was very nice and got us drinks and also made time to visit a spice shop where locals buy - amazing smells and unbelievably cheap price. Here the sites we visited : Colossi of Mnenon Valley of the kings (three standards tombs + Ramses V and VI + Tutankhamen) Hapshepsut temple Karnak complex Luxor temple We paid an excellent price - 90$ for 2 persons + 15$ for the ride from airport the night earlier (on the second day it was part of the drop off). We started at 7 and were dropped at the airport at 6:30. Do not hesitate to contact Rania. I would recommend her to my dearest friends as she is very knowledgeable, extremely reliable (trust me I got other excursions cancelled at the last minute in Egypt), she is also patient and flexible and a very nice person. Hope this review helped you deciding to give it a try! You won’t regret it!

Brilliant, professional, educational, with a delicious lunch! - The whole trip was absolutely brilliant! Rania picked us up at 8 this morning and we found her absolutely lovely and so knowledgable! She took us around Karnak, into the valley of the kings, to a stunning rooftop family owned restaurant overlooking the Nile (ask for the fish option!) and to Hatshipsut temple. Throughout Rania was enthusiastic and shared wonderful stories from the past, pointing out fascinating areas, filling in the historical context, and taking photos for us. She also got us sugarcane juice to sip and nearly moved us to tears describing the incredible life of Hatshipsut. There is clearly more to see and do near Luxor than can ever be fit into a day, but having a private guide meant we could choose our true priorities for our short visit. When we come back we will be looking Rania up again!

Awesome experience with an attentive guide! - We’ve seen all the amazing sights in Luxor in two days with our great tour guide Walid. The trips were well organised, including a kind driver who took us around from place to place. Walid puts effort in explaining things in detail, and makes sure to ask whether we need breaks or pictures taken. It was an overall amazing experience and I’d definitely recommend this tour to all my friends and family

Relics of an advanced civilization - Our whole trip was spectacular from the beginning. We were met from Hurghada airport by Tony our driver and made the 4-5 hour journey to Luxor by air condition minivan. The journey should be done in the day to see the great scenery. First the desert and then the villages along the Nile from Qena down to Luxor. This is the real Egypt. The following day we were met from the hotel by Rania who took us to see the Colossus of Memnon and then on to Hatshepsuts temple and later on to the Valley of the Kings. These sights are too spectacular to describe in a single review. Each site was given enough time by Rania for her to explain the history and provide colorful stories that brought the Pharoahs to life. Between the ancient history we had time to take in an Alabaster stone masons and a hand weaving workshop. Both were added value to the day. After lunch at a really excellent local restaurant selected by Rania we were given time to rest back at the hotel and then were met by Walid for a City tour by caleche (horse and cart). Walids tour deserves its own entry because again it was a slice of real Luxor Egyptian life. Visiting the local market at night and trying local specialties such as freshly squeezed sugarcane juice. The locals were all extremely friendly and didnt hassle us. We finished our time with Rania and Walid in Luxor but they arranged the drive on to Soma Bay with Toni and I can honestly say that the Red Sea is great but it isnt the Egyptian experience we had in Luxor. Immerse yourself in the local culture and history to get the most out of Egypt.

A great day in Luxor with a nice guide and driver - We had an awesome day in Luxor with our amazing guide Rania, and our great driver, Ahmed. Rania is very knowledgeable and great at deciding which things to see in places that would otherwise be very overwhelming. But boiling thousands of years of history down to a few hours is a very hard task - especially as Rania is so excited to share it all, that it can sometimes go a bit too fast, so we felt a bit overloaded with information. Some people might prefer it this way, but if it's too much and you don't understand, Rania was very kind to explain it several times more. In addition to seeing the 3 graves included in the price of Valley of the Kings, we also decided to see King Tut's grave - however we did so a bit late, messing up the time schedule. But Rania was amazing at making ends meet, which allowed us to both see Tut's tomb and make it for the other things on the itinerary (a bit challenging as Hatshepsut ticket sale closes at 16) We had an amazing traditional lunch with a view of the Nile - the best meal we've had in Egypt! The drive from Hurghada to Luxor and back is a bit long but with a friendly and chatty driver like Ahmed it's not a problem at all. But the advantage of going on a private tour is that you save about an hour each direction as you don't have to stop at all the other hotels to pick up other tourists. We enjoying having our own guide and felt it was totally worth the slight extra price to have this flexibility of not having to wait for 20 other tourists to go on a bus. And Friday would be the best day to go, as this is the least crowded day - something we greatly appreciated. All in all, we would totally recommend going on this trip for anyone looking to make the most of their day trip to Luxor. Lea & Rasmus, Denmark

Leisure Travel - Rania is the absolute best. From her knowledge as an Egyptologist to her passion for sharing this knowledge with us, it was more than we could have expected. There was no detail too large or too small for Rania to handle. Rania arranged everything, from private transportation (our driver was fantastic), to tickets to each site, to local establishments designed to give us the "local flavor." When I return (not if) Rania will be the first person I contact. Aml Demos in Cairo was equally fantastic. She made our days effortless and easy. She, too, had the knowledge and passion to make our days that much more enjoyable. There was no detail overlooked, and I cannot express my gratitude enough for everything she did. We got to know her personally and we not consider her a friend. Golden Joy Travel should be your first and only call when visiting Egypt!

Full day tour east and west Bank Luxor. - Rania is well educated, knows what she is talking about and has lots to tell. She is able to read the hieroglyphics and speaks fluently English. Not unimportant, she also brought me to a place for lunch in local way and I can say it was delicious. Anyone who visits Luxor should contact her for tours.
