Omar Haridi-Egyptologist extraordinaire!!! Hatshepsut Temple and Valley of the Kings - Omar Hamidi was our guide for our trip to Hatshepsut temple and the valley of the kings. Our entire family had the best time we have ever had on a tour! Omar got us in to Hatshepsut Temple before the crowds and it felt practically like we had the place to ourselves. He gave us so much interesting information about Hatshepsut but the stories were always engaging and never boring like on some tours. He even taught us how to read some hieroglyphics and later at the valley of the kings all about the Egyptian gods and how to recognize them in the scenes in the tombs. He gave us enough information that I could hear our whole family commenting on the scenes in the tombs as we walked through. He trained us so well I noticed others listening to our conversations to try to learn about the different scenes. Omar made everything so interesting! He was also really fun to be around and is pretty funny! Our tour with Omar is hands down the best we have been on anywhere in the world. Thank you Omar!

Fantastic experience with Marian and Hussein! Thank you! - It was a long day (13 hours) but well worth it thanks to our guide Marian and our driver Hussein. Hussein welcomed us early in the morning and got us to our destinations safely on the entertaining Egyptian roads. Marian joined us closer to Luxor with some drinks and snacks. We were kept well fed and hydrated throughout the day, lunch was included at El Hussein Restaurant. Marian was a fountain of knowledge and took time to explain all the sights and answer questions. She was explaining the hyroglyphics to us and impressed us with her knowledge. We noticed other tourists listening in too, likely wishing they were on our tour! Marian made sure that at each stop we had some time alone to take in the sights for as long as we wanted, ensuring we had the best experience and got what we wanted from our day. She took lots of pictures for us and went the extra mile to make us happy. Would recommend to anyone looking to have the best experience from a Luxor day trip!

Amazing day trip - We booked a day trip from Hurghada to Luxor. We travelled with TUI and didn’t like the look of the tour they offered so reached out to Egypt Portal Tours and they came up with the goods! We were driven by Hussein for the day in a private car just the 2 of us. We then met Marian Azer in Luxor who was our amazing tour guide for the day. She was very attentive and knowledgable even taught us some hieroglyphics at Karnak temple. Do not hesitate and book your tour with this company! And thank you Marian and Hussein for a wonderful unforgettable trip.

Amazing day in Luxor! - I have to thank Mahmoud Nour and our driver George. We had an action packed day in Luxor. From the pick up at the train station in Luxor from Aswan and transfer to hotel, then airport at the end of the day. Mahmoud Nour and George did not miss a beat. Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Colosis of Memnon, and Karnak Temple. We had great tours at all of the sights and even managed to squeeze in a short Nile Cruise to have lunch on a banana plantation. The day was pretty warm (30 degrees), but the van was always there on time, with the refreshing AC and access to water so we were ready for the next adventure. Thank you both for a wonderful experience in Luxor.

Fantastic Experience - We were guided by Dr Mahmoud Hassan who is a reknown Egyptologist and is very knowledgeable on all aspects of Ancient Egyptian history. The tour was extensive and well paced. Highly recommend!

Luxor day trip from Hurghada - We booked a private day trip to Luxor from Hurghada and it was absolutely incredible and worth the time and money. Nour Atef was an amazing guide and planned the day to 4 sites in Luxor really well and provided us with an amazing experience. The drive was also quite easy and relaxing

Great day in Luxor - Walid Ahmed was very knowledgeable and provided us with excellent details of all the highlights in Luxor including Valley of the Kings and Karnak Temple. He went out of his way to help us and ensure we were happy. It was a good balance of guided tour with some free exploring time. Doing a hot air balloon over Luxor was a trip highlight! He organised a great little spot for lunch.

A memorable day! - Our guide Walid Ahmed and drover Hammad were amazing , Walid tailored to our needs and requests and exceeded our expectations. Outstanding moments were visits to the Valley of the Kings and Pyramids and the River Nile Boat cruise. and a delicious lunch overlooking the Nile . Amazing experince - We had a two day private tour with Hossam Rashwan, and from start to finish we enjoyed every aspect of our tour. Hossam was very knowledgeable on all the areas, and showed great passion, which was good, as having been before its nice to get new information and a new perspective on the sites. At the end of both the days tours, he sent us additional information to help with imagining the information he had told us during the day, which was a great added touch. We would definitely use this company if we are back in Egypt for additional tours, and would request Hossam again without a doubt.
