All the temples and ancient monuments scattered on both banks of the Nile river make this city a real open-air museum. Temple of Hatcheptsut, Valley of the Kings, Colossi of Memnon, Karnak temple… these are so many wonders that will not fail to impress you.
Your egyptologist guide will wait for you at Luxor in order to reach the West bank of Luxor : the first step of your day.
Discover first the valley of the Kings, a symbol of pharaohs’ glory. This valley was chosen by the pharaohs to be their royal necropolis after the Pyramids of the lower Egypt were stripped of their treasure. The site contains 63 tombs excavated in the rock of the mountain, the most famous one is that of the young king Tutankhamun.
Adventure yourself inside a royal tomb and examine the colored scenes on the walls, these give you insights on the beliefs and funerary rites of Ancient Egyptian. Here you understand that to get prepared for death is the first goal of a pharaoh, therefore, the tomb was for each king the great achievement of his life. Highly recommendable tour with an extremely good guide! - Thanks to our extremely knowledgeable and friendly guide Shimiaa Rabia the tour became an unforgettable experience. She is a university trained Egyptologist and very experienced guide who knows how to convey the necessary context an info about the visited places in a highly professional and at the same time entertaining manor. So those temples and tombs became very much alive for us! In addition Shimiaa also was a reliable guide and big help when it came to questions concerning souvenirs and prices. Shukran so much Shimiaa!

Fly away on the magic carpet of exploring - Great group of people offering nice trips all around Egypt. We did a balloon trip above Luxor and then visited Valley of Kings and Hatshepsut temple. Our guide Adem and driver Mahmed did amazing job showing us the beautiful places near Luxor and gave us good tips. I can definitely recommend this company. It is not the cheapest option, but it is definitely the best. They are professionals. You will not get similar experience with anyone else. Good job!

A magical experience - We visited Luxor in a 2 day-itinirary; East Bank the first day (Karnak and Luxor Temple) and the West Bank the second day. Both days we had Sherry as our guide and Samara as driver. We have seen A LOT of guides the last years (USA - Indonesia - Africa - Lapland - …) but this was truly one of our best experiences yet 🤩 Not only does Sherry know everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) about the visited sites; she also knows how to tell “the stories” as if we were children again and listened “in awe” to our favourite teacher … She went above and beyond for us … even discussing better prices at local shops because she had our best interest at heart ❤️ Samara (Ahmed ☺️) was a SUPER driver !! He drove us safely around Luxor (always on time !) and when the visits were finished; there he was … right at the exit with the car air-conditioned and cold water in his hand … We are BIG FANS of Sherry (and Samara) and recommend everybody to trust their (magical) skills ! Thank you for a magnificent time 🤩

An amazing day full of information and history - Had a great time during this tour, although a bit exhausting to see everything on a single day, was worth every penny. Our guide, Sherry was absolutely amazing, was very knowledgeable and informative altogether, provided detailed information, interesting historical facts about all the sites and places visited. Kept us nicely on a reasonable schedule, there was no rush at all, had time to take tons of pictures and embrace the atmosphere of every temple and monument. Took us to see how papyrus scrolls were and are made, an unexpected but welcome addition to the tour. Very satisfied with Sherry and the Magic Carpet Travel team, took great care of us, highly recommended.

Best guide and driver I've ever had - Tour started in Luxor and also included Aswan and onto Abu Simbel for a total of 5 days. Rabi was Egyptologist guide, and Mahmoud was driver. Both were excellent. My family and I learned so much from Rabi, and Mahmoud was always reliable. Magic Carpet worked with us on what we wanted to see and then Rabi delivered making sure that everything we visited was unique. I can't say enough positive things about them.

Serious and reliable tour operator - The Magic Carpet agency, based in the Neferiti hotel in Luxor, was truly excellent. All stipulated with great clarity and simplicity. The car they assigned us is a new and very spacious Toyota SUV. The driver was truly excellent: kind, precise and helpful, as well as very good at driving in really chaotic traffic. So everything was really excellent. To be recommended

Luxor Full Day Tour - I applied for the Nefertiti Hotel Luxor one day tour and Magic Carpet Travel's guide Shelly picked me up at 8am. I applied for a group tour but there were only two of us. It was very good that she explained things in easy to understand English. We were also able to skip the souvenir shops.
