Egyptian culture at its best - The journey to Luxor was fantastic. Our guide, Mohamed Zidane (if I recall correctly), provided an excellent overview of Egyptian culture and the most renowned historical sites. I would definitely advocate for the trip to friends and family.

Brilliant trip Hurgada to Luxor - What a fantastic day. We were picked up on time by George our guide/ Egyptologist and Wagdi our driver. George explained what we were going to see and gave us the history of the kings/pharaohs and the myths behind the Egyptian gods before we entered each monument/tomb. I think the word of the day was WOW as places I had only seen in photographs came to life. Such a special day, Thankyou to Sun & Fun, George and Wagdi.

Highly recommended - We were picked up from the hotel on time. The driver was amazing 😄, thanks to him we only needed 14 hours for the trip. 🤣 Our tour guide (Mozart 🤣) was waiting for us in Luxor. He was very competent and helpful. We were impressed by his knowledge and he was able to answer all of our questions. The food was excellent, as was the entire trip. We would happily go with these two guys again 😁

Everything perfect - We had a great day trip to Luxor. We were picked up from the hotel on time and greeted very warmly. The Egyptologist, who speaks good German, explained the day's schedule to us and answered all of our questions. You could tell straight away that he is very competent and wants to make the customer happy. In Luxor, the sights were shown and explained to us in detail, the guide was totally at our disposal and we were able to take as much time as we needed. We were also offered drinks or fresh fruit at no extra cost. The two drivers were also very friendly and it was perfectly organized. We felt comfortable throughout and would book with Sun & Fun again in a heartbeat. Big thanks to Atef, who gave us a wonderful day.

Private tour Luxor - During our vacation in Egypt, we decided at relatively short notice to take a trip to Luxor. While researching the numerous providers that were available, we came across sun&fun Tours. This provider seemed to offer a good price/performance ratio, as you could see from the reviews. The contact via email and WhatsApp was very positive, and worked quickly and without any problems. We were able to book a private excursion 2 days later without any problems. There is potential for improvement in the payment options. Payment was only possible in cash. On the day of the excursion, we were picked up promptly at 5 a.m. The driver was generally very friendly and spoke a few words of English. Negatives: After about an hour's drive, we stopped at a "coffee/bazaar" where we had the option of using the toilet... that cost 1 euro per person. You can overlook that... we sometimes pay for it too. What is not acceptable, however, is that the "boss" wanted to change money, as is often the case in Egypt. When changing money, then wanting to keep a 1-2 euro change fee is an absolute no-go. Because it was still very early, we ordered overpriced coffee, and when it was served, a service charge was demanded as a matter of course. On the way back, they stopped again nearby. We didn't leave the car to avoid another rip-off. Driving style in Egypt. It was/is clear to us: different countries, different customs. However, the driving style takes a lot of getting used to and is dangerous. Very close driving. Close, tight overtaking. Much too high a speed for local traffic. The overtaking maneuvers were dangerous more than once. If you have guests in the car, you should perhaps reconsider this driving style. We didn't always feel really safe. Positive: We arrived in Luxor before the tourist crowds, which gave us some time to take photos in peace. At the Karnak Temple we met our guide, who spoke very good German and accompanied us all day. While the tour of the Karnak Temple was very interesting and informative, the guide's interest seemed to have waned afterward. He spent most of his time on his cell phone, and at lunch in a "typical Egyptian restaurant" (it wasn't. The worst thing there were the begging cats - which jumped up at us and also clawed their way into us), he sat quite far away from us. During the rest of the program, you got the impression that he just wanted to get through the day somehow. There was hardly any information and short, brief answers to questions. At first viewed as positive, he guided us past merchant passages at the sights. However, shortly before the end, the whole thing ended up in a kind of sales trip to an alabaster factory.... Conclusion of the trip: Informative at first. After that, it was basically just a winding down of the program. We weren't wrong to arrive back at the hotel... especially safe. I can't judge what other providers are like. We would definitely do a private trip again. But I don't know whether we would do it with sun&fun.
