Great staff horrible accommodations - Older boat - pretty standard for this region- some things to know- you often dock attached to other boats so you won’t have a view most times and sadly if you are anything 1-2 floor you will smell the exhaust. The food was good, and the staff very friendly. The beds were bricks and honestly the accommodations left MUCH to be desired BUT the staff is the reason for 4 stars the staff was amazing!

Memorable smooth relaxing cruise on the Nile - Although the rooms are not as large as I would have liked, I found I spent little time in the room. The excursions provided by the tour guides filled most of my time. The three daily buffet meals included were actually very good and I complimented the cooks and chefs. The staff and front desk staff were always helpful and accommodating. Ship security briefed passengers on local security. The ship provided Wi-Fi for a daily fee; however it was only available in the ship lounge and only generated a strong signal when the ship docked. The sunrise and sunset views on the ship deck were spectacular. I would cruise on the Sarah again.

Nile cruise - The cruise ship it self was a little dated. Service was good. The food at the restaurant has lots of variety but quality cannot be compared to the North American standards! The pool at the sundeck was too small for swimming!

Enjoyable, but not luxury - I think the thing you need to understand about Egypt and Nile River cruises is that the Egyptian version of Luxury is radically different than the American. While the food was Western, it was good. The beds are twin's so if you want to sleep together you need to push them together. The bathrooms are tiny, and we found the furniture in the boat to be worn and stained.. you could tell they were clean, just old. The boat offered laundry service which was nice. The drinks in the salon were weak, but if you tip the bartender well, they will make them stronger. The Concierge was rather sexist and not super helpful. It would be nice if instead of checking the board in the lobby they would slide the days itinerary under your door. We had some issues with them telling our guides one time and it actually being another. It would also be nice if they would make change for guests. You have to pay for wifi daily and it is only available in the salon.

Could be better - AC hardly worked and food was subpar compared to street food. The sliding door that takes up one wall off the room doesnt help with the heat. The chicke. And duck were overcooked everyday and the rice was not made right. Street food is def better. Crew was great and very nice and so was the cruise ship touring they led. Overall good but food needs to be better.

Ship needs better maintenance - and better cleaning - Nobody will understand why this ship carries a 5 star label by the Egyptian tourism officials. Standards in the US or Europe will at rate this ship a 2 star - or if at all a very poor 3 Star ship. Dirty and broken interior, filthy passages from the dining room to the kitchen, dirty bathroom doors, dirty windows not only in the room but also in the dining hall / deck. After day 2 the food gets boring. Looking around you find broken deck chairs, tired looking rooms, which have not been upgraded or properly maintained, not enough power outlets to allow you charging multiple devices simultaneously.
