Fantastic Evening in the old Market - We did this tour on the first day we arrived in Marrakech and it was a wonderful way to see the market and Medina with a guide. The food was excellent and so authentic. Norah was a superb guide and very informative not only about the food but about the history and culture of Morocco. One very special aspect of the tour was our visit to a women's cooperative for delicious couscous. We would definitely recommend this tour.

Awesome. Highly recommend - Amazing. Wish we had done it on the first day to get to know Marrakesh and Medina better. Excellent guide in Khalid, and we throughly enjoyed it even with two kids under the age of 4. Highly recommend

Marrakech Food Tour - The tour with Abdel was so much fun! He shared a wealth of knowledge about Marrakech and its food history all with a great sense of humor :) The highlight of the tour was meeting Mama Malika and Fatima and trying their amazing couscous. Thanks for a great time!

Sweet tea for everyone! - We had an amazing experience on the food tour guided by Abdul. He was not only knowledgeable about the food but he had a vast knowledge of the culture, traditions and history of Morocco. We really felt that we were guided to the best local places and the tour was very responsible in supporting small local businesses, such as the fantastic Malika and Fatima who made us a wonderful couscous dish like no other. The tangier and roast lamb that we tried were incredible, and the street food was also delicious. We did a stop in an underground area where they heat the Hammam and also cook the Tangiers and it was wonderful to get an insight into how this was done! We also learned that if a woman is pregnant in Morocco and they see some food they want to try, they are given it to try as otherwise they believe that their child might have a birthmark in the shape of the food they did not try! It happened while we were eating and Abdul explained carefully the tradition, it was very informative and unexpected! Abdul, if you were at our house we would certainly serve you a sweet tea! Thanks for everything!

Mix of the best hits and hidden gems of Moroccan food!!! - Fantastic experience!!!! Our guide was Abdel. He was absolutely delightful. We enjoyed talking to him about a range of topics from languages to culture to food. He had a fun disposition and we enjoyed bouncing throughout the Medina with him talking about the foods and the roles they play in daily life! We had such an amazing tour. We had been in Morocco for 11 days and thought we had sampled most of the key dishes but we had a chance to try many new items on the tour including mechoui a meat cooked whole under ground in a clay oven, Tangia (yes tangia not tagine) which is meat cooked in a pot with just a few ingredients like olive oil, cumin, salt, garlic, saffron, turmeric, and preserved lemon. We tried Moroccan donuts (sfenj), leaned the difference between the different olive colors and preparations, how preserved lemons are made, and the difference between morning and evening msemmen. Fatima and Mallika’s couscous was perfect and full of flavor. We learned why on the tour. Their couscous is made the old fashioned way through steaming over spices and flavored vegetable broth rather than boiled for a few minutes the way we often make rice. Amazing! Make sure that you visit their shop on the tour! Another must have is the secret off menu cold soup we sampled. I won’t tell you more about it because it is something of a revelation.

BEST TOUR GUIDE - My husband and I booked a 3.5 hour food tour through Moroccan Food Adventures. The tour was expertly lead by Hanan who took us to the best spots in town, places off the beaten path we would likely never have found on our own, to enjoy food that was mouth-watering good. Under Hanan’s wing, we felt like we were being lead through town by a friend, and were treated with the utmost respect and hospitality. The food was incredible, and we experienced the added bonus of learning about the culture through authentic dining and snacking experiences. Hanan is an outstanding guide, fluent in English and French (among other languages). We highly recommend you book through Marrakech Food Tours and ask for Hanan for your next Moroccan tour!
