Madaba mosaics, lovely Mt Nebo & memorable Baptism site - We used this company on a previous tour to Jerash & Ajloun which had worked out well. We even had the same driver called Adnan who was fine. The tour we'd paid for was for Madaba, Mt Nebo & the Baptism site but when Adnan arrived for the pick up he said his supervisor had told him Mt Nebo was not included in the tour which started the day off badly. Luckily I was able to prove Mt Nebo was included and it was sorted out in the end. Tip: once you've booked and paid be sure to print out the 'What to Expect' section to avoid any such 'confusion'. Madaba is a pretty & walkable little town. Whilst the mosaic map in St George's church was impressive there were quite a lot of people in the small church so we had a good look round at the rest of the interesting artwork in the church while we were waiting for the crowds to clear. The Archaeological Park is also really worth a visit. Mt. Nebo was an absolute highlight. The beautiful little church was serene and calm even though there were lots of people and the views were amazing. The baptism site was incredibly hot (we went in April)and the flies while waiting for the shuttle bus were a menace! It was like in 2 parts: steps leading to the small puddle of water where the tour guide said those who had arranged to cld dip their crosses and then a walk to the River Jordan itself. As you approach you'll hear music (strangely the day we went it sounded like mariachi music!)which is coming from the Israeli side of the River. On the Jordan side we were allowed to dip our feet in the really rather muddy river and take pictures which made the trip really memorable.
