Absolutely worth it! - Diego was a great guide, big picture explanations for the group providing enough general historical background but able and willing to go into details when asked for specifics.

Educational - The tourist guide was very nice and knowledgeable. The restaurant we visited for lunch was amazing. The only suggestion will be to include in this tour the entrance to the Escorial as part of it .

Three historical sites - I would like to first thank our tour guide Melad. He was fantastic and very informative on all the areas we visited. He came thru for us when our tour took a turn for the worse. First of all, all the documents we had for our tour stated that we had to meet by 8:00 am as the buss left promptly. When 8:00 am came and went. I called the office. I was told that the tour started at 9:00 am. Even after my call they sent me an email stating that to meet the guide by 8:45 am but the bus would leave by 8:00 am. Once on the bus, Melad was stating who had lunch and who did not. Again, all my documents stated that lunch was included. My family and I were told we did not have a lunch. I showed my papers to him which he took a picture and sent it to the main office. Once we got to our first stop he told us that he could not get us a lunch as the restaurant was full and no one at the main office would return his calls. Roughly an hour later he tells us that we are having lunch but at the restaurant next door. Same meal. That he was able to work something out for us. When we arrived at meeting place for lunch. Melad directed to the same restaurant as the rest of the tour was eating. He was able to get us in. We were very appreciative. On our second stop, El Escorial. The whole tour group had to show our ID’s to receive our tickets. When we approached the window and showed our Florida DLs. We were told we had to pay. That only EU and Pan American citizens could go in for free. This was not mentioned in the description of the tour and I feel it should be. Luckily, Melad said no that he would pay for the tickets. There was a total of 5 US citizens on the tour. All of us thanked him for taking over the situation. Melad is the reason this review is a 4 star. If not for him pulling thru on all the obstacles my family and I had to go thru it would have been a 1 star.
