- Royal Palace of Madrid - Featuring some 3,000 rooms that have been perfectly preserved, the palace is open to the public, since the royal family only uses it for official receptions. Marvel at the main staircase, designed by Sabatini and comprising over 70 steps. Visit the Throne Room and admire the ceiling painted by Tiepolo, and the Hall of Alabarderos, the palace guards. Your guide will also point out works of master artists along the way including Velázquez, Goya, and Caravaggio. In the Royal Pharmacy, you’ll explore cabinets with medicinal plants, ceramic pots, and formulas dispensed to the royal family. Visit the Royal Chapel and see its collection of stringed instruments made by the legendary Antonio Stradivari. By the end, you’ll understand why the Royal Palace is the crowned jewel of Madrid’s many attractions.

History brought to life. - Our guide, Sean, provided a wealth of knowledge and shared his experience as a former history instructor. He not only provided a historical POV but also a taste of the current local flavors. The tour went off well, especially given the late changes by the government on accessing the Palace with a group.

Fun and informative and the best way to explore this historical gem - Sean was a perfect guide - he instantly connected to our kids and kept it fun and informative for all of us. I really enjoyed the armoury as well as the beautiful palace. Some of the most interesting revelations were around the Palacio's importance in contemporary politics and diplomacy. Easily the best tour we did in Madrid.

Isabella was the greatest tour guide - The tour was amazing! We did indeed skip the long line and walked in through the separate group entrance on the side. Our guide Isabella had a great personality and shared a lot of her knowledge with us.
But most importantly she was very kind and attentive to our 6-year old and kept him entertained the entire 2.5 hours.

Fantastic Tour - We booked a semi private tour but it ended up being private. Sean was a fantastic guide. He spent time with us outside the Palace, inside the armory exhibit and in the Palace. He was so knowledgeable, friendly and entertaining. We learned so much about Spanish (and world) history on the tour. Highly recommended!

Madrid - Royal Palace - Isabella was very punctual and had everything put together for over trip agead of time. Very knowledgeable, friendly, hard to squeeze all the information she wanted to share with us in a two hour guide. A must see with Isabella!
