Highlights

Meet your expert English-speaking guide in the historic Plaza Mayor and discover the story behind this emblematic square dating back to the time of the Habsburgs.

Then awaken your taste buds with a steaming cup of sinfully delicious hot chocolate. Venture on to taste Madrid’s most classic cocido stew from a 100-year-old kitchen. Take the ham challenge with a blowout tasting of three types of cured Spanish ham (including the world-famous acorn-fed Iberian jamón) and meet the local vendors behind each family-run eatery.

Savor the city’s best homemade Spanish omelette and wash it all down with famous Rioja wine, as well as local Spanish vermouth on tap and hard cider from the north of Spain (which you’ll learn how to pour the local way!). These are just a few of the 11+ tastings served during this tour!

Between bites discover emblematic Madrid sites such as the Royal Palace, the Plaza Mayor, and the Plaza de la Villa as well as lots of lesser-known corners of the historic center.

Amazing! - We had the best time with Arantxa as our tour guide. She is a local with a lot of knowledge about the area, places we visited, and the food we tried. The tour was very accommodating for nut allergies and the food was amazing.

Sweet, savory. and everything in between! A wonderful experience. - Isaac took us from one gastric experience to another on this three hour tour. Starting with what looked like churros with a cup of chocolate to seven varieties of olives to tea cookies, every bite was so inviting that it was impossible to say which was the best! Even better, the walk from place to place was probably designed to be enough to make room for more food! Thank you for the experience. Ah, the mushrooms were my favorite.

First Devour tour…won’t be our last! Great experience! - This was our first Devour tour. Our guide, José, was awesome! He was very personable and engaging. He had many stories and pointed out many interesting things along the way. More importantly, for this tour, all the food was amazing! We were more than satisfied with the variety of food sampling stops and will definitely book another Devour tour in the future. If you’re on the fence, get off and book this tour!
