Highlights
  • Mina - Mina, located seven kilometers east of the Masjid al-Haram, is where Hajj pilgrims spend the nights of the 8th, 11th, 12th (and some even the 13th) of Dhul Hijjah. It features the Jamarat, three stone pillars that pilgrims throw stones at as part of the Hajj rituals.

  • Muzdalifa - Muzdalifah (مُزْدَلِفَة‎) is a flat, open area near Mecca in Saudi Arabia’s Hejazi region, associated with the Ḥajj (“Pilgrimage”). It is situated just southeast of Mina, on the path between Mina and Arafat. The stay at Muzdalifah follows a day at Arafat, which involves glorifying Allāh, repeating the Dua, repenting to Allah, and seeking His forgiveness.

  • Makkah Province - Masjid al-Fath (Arabic: مسجد الفتح) is a mosque marking the spot where the Prophet ﷺ camped with 10,000 companions on their way to conquer Makkah. It is located in the al-Jumum governorate of the Makkah al-Mukarramah province.

  • Jabal-e-Rehmat - Also known as Jabal-Ar-Rahmah or the Mount of Mercy, Mount Arafat is a hill in the Arafat valley outside Makkah where the Prophet (pbuh) delivered his final sermon after completing Hajj.

  • Mount Arafat - Jabal-ur-Rehman (Mountain of Mercy) is located on the Arafat plain. Standing at Arafat is a crucial part of Hajj, and pilgrims gather here on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah (the second day of Hajj).

  • Jabal Thawr - Mount Thawr (or Jabal Thawr) is the mountain that contains the cave where the Prophet (ﷺ) and Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) took refuge for three days and nights from the Quraysh as they left Makkah and emigrated to Madinah.

  • Jabal al-Nour - Mount Hira (Jabal Hira) is located about two miles from the Ka’bah. Near its summit is a small cave, less than 4 meters long and a little over one and a half meters wide. It was in this cave that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) received the first revelations of the Holy Quran during the month of Ramadhan in 610 CE.

  • Masjid-Al-Jinn - Masjid Jinn, also known as Masjid Haras, is built on the site where the Prophet (ﷺ) drew a line for Abdullah bin Mas’ood (may Allah be pleased with him) who had accompanied him after being commanded to recite the Qur’an to the Jinn.
