23000 Pacific Coast Hwy - We will be meeting at Surfrider Beach, considered one of the most famous surfing beaches in the world. This is the perfect beach for first time surfers all the way up to experienced surfers. Surfrider beach is known for its gentle and long waves as well as its scenic beauty.
Our fist 15-20 minutes will be a beach lesson on the sand where we will practice paddling, standing and surfing etiquette.
Then out in the water to catch some waves.
My goal is to have you catch and stand on as many waves as possible.
You will have a blast!

Every person intrigued by California imagines riding its waves. Surfing represents the essence of the Golden State. While there are numerous surfing spots in California, Malibu leads them all. Considered as the prime surfing experience, Surfrider Beach is the go-to spot. As a lifelong resident of Malibu, I provide not only an exhilarating surfing journey but also a local’s insight about the vicinity.

The address is 23038 Pacific Coast Highway (PCH). That is not my house so please don’t knock on the door.
I will meet you on the beach in front of that address.
You can park for free on PCH or there are pay lots on either side of the pier.

favorite memory from California - We had the best time and are still talking about it weeks later. Ric was so nice, knowledgable, easy to talk to and really encouraging. We were up and riding waves in no time. I would recommend this to anybody!

Surfs up! - Ric is awesome! He made it all worth it!! I wanted to get an introduction to surfing and this was a great instructor for that and at the perfect place in Malibu!

Awesome - Ric was a great instructor. He was so patient, as our kids were surfing for the very first time. You could tell that he really enjoyed teaching them. My kids loved the experience, and cannot wait to do it again. He would be a great instructor for all age groups. Highly recommend!

Great Way to Spend an Afternoon - Great way to spend an afternoon! Ric was a great coach and he consistently got the kids into the right zone to catch waves and both our kids were up on their boards quickly. Kids loved it and we booked another afternoon. Note that the beach is rocky and shallow in Malibu so hard on the feet.

Do it! - Ric was patient and friendly and never gave up on us. My daughter finally got up on the surfboard. It was amazing and the waves were great. Bucket list item- check!! Totally worth it! Ric made it so easy and no pressure, but fair warning surfing is a workout!

Amazing experience with Rick - I had an amazing time with Rick. He's such a kind, nice and helpful instructor. I couldn't dream of a better instructor to teach me surf in Malibu. He shows that he really cares about you having a great time, be comfortable and learn the proper ways of surfing.
I highly recommend booking a session with Rick ! Thank you again that was perfect.
