The walk follows the famous “Sentiero del Viandante” on the eastern side of Lake Como, in Mandello del Lario. A walk along the old wayfarers trail, across old villages and lush vegetation discovering hidden gems around Lake Como. Up and down the hills with magnificent views, olive trees and wild flowers. You’ll first stop at the medieval Church of Saint George to breath in some good energy while enjoying a beautiful view over the lake. Your destination will be waiting for you with a big delicious lunch based on local homemade specialties: a feast for your tummy and soul. After lunch you’ll walk back to the city center for a good ice-cream or for relaxing on the beach. Take your towel with you. If the weather will be very hot you might want to have a quick refreshing swim before heading back home. Mandello del Lario is very easy to reach by train or ferry boat.
- Pls bring water with you and wear comfy sporty clothes and trekking shoes. The mountain guide will not accept any participant with not suitable shoes. Windproof jacket in case of unstable weather / sunscreen, suglasses and hat in hot summer days.
- This tour will take place with a minimum of 8 participants. If no minimum is reached, you’ll be fully refunded or be offered a different tour.
- Not suitable to people with serious food allergies and intolerances: lunch menu is fixed and can’t be customized.
- Not suitable to beginners: the track is not difficult, but the hike is long with many ups&downs
