HEAVENLY BUCKET LIST EXPERIENCE. - Tiger safari at kanha national park, MADHYA PRADESH, INDIA Our bucket list journey to see tigers at their natural habitat. One of the best and original parks (Rudyard Kipling was living in part of the park, his experiences are reflected in his famous ‘ Jungle Book’ ) The park is very well maintained by well trained naturalists, guides and drivers. We did 2 full morning and 2 afternoon safaris each lasting more than 3 hours. We saw 4 tigers( it’s not easy, the park covers over 300 square miles). Also saw Many deers called BARA SINGHA ( 12 pieces on both antlers, seen only at this park). We witnessed thousands of spotted deers, monkeys, foxes, and of course its birders paradise. Our stay was at BAGH TOLA JUNGLE RESORTS neat one of the entrances. What a treat! Heaven on earth. At the foot hills, the lodge is the cleanest we have experienced. Clean rooms, breakfast, lunch and dinner (inclusive) cooked to our taste!. All this was meticulously organized by Mr. Eric Kunha ,a well educated, dedicated wildlife enthusiast who has spent more than 35 years in this field. (Of course he had spent time with the most famous birder of India- Mr. Salim Ali ). Eric also has done some research on birds at Himalayan foothills. Eric’s knowledge is so profound , he almost knew everything about the forests. Our thanks to ‘ JOY ‘ Eric’s gracious wife and manager of the resort. Her knowledge is equally profound, we had time to chit-chat, and discussed everything from animal, bird, forest life to cooking. “ WE WERE AT HOME “. Evening spare time was spent hiking at the foot hills and visiting 2 surrounding clean and friendly villages accompanied by the lodge personnel at no extra charge! What an experience! Would love to return at the earliest.

This was a thrilling experience, the guides were so nice, caring for the animals, making sure that no plastics or garbage is put in forest. Very polite gaurds and forest staff. The drivers are also caring for animals.
