Highlights
  • North Head Sanctuary - A nature refuge, bordered by dramatic cliffs, North Head Sanctuary, Manly, is located on the peninsula at the northern entrance to Sydney Harbour.
This place holds significance to the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land, the Gayamagal people. As you explore the park’s coastal bushland, via dedicated bike tracks, you’ll discover diverse flora and fauna, military fortifications from World War II and signs of the nation’s early quarantine practices. Were it not for the unspoiled harbour views, it would be hard to believe you are only 11km from Sydney’s CBD.
  • Q Station Manly - History Experience - Sprawled across the hillside on the very edge of Sydney Harbour, the historic Quarantine Station has not only an impressive Sydney Harbour National Park location but also an incredible history behind.
  • International College of Management - The imposing structure dominating the northern Sydney’s beachside suburb’s landscape won world-wide acclaim when it was built by the Catholic Church between 1885 and 1889.
Established as the first National Catholic Seminary in Australia in 1889, Moran House and the Archbishop’s Residence (located on the Southern part of the precinct) was designed as a blend of Neo-Gothic and Romanesque styles.
The stone building is four storeys high with a six-level central belltower and a slate roof. A two-storeyed colonnade flanks the central entrance.
  • Shelly Beach - A beautiful beach located in Manly, a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is adjacent to North Head and Fairy Bower. Shelly Beach is a western facing beach on the eastern coast of Australia. Shelly Beach is part of the no take Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve.
  • Manly Beach - Manly is one of those magic beaches that has something for everyone. It spans 3km, so there’s lots of space to spread your towel on the soft white sand and relax all day. Perfect to cycle alongside it.

Helpful staff good bikes - The guys in the shop were really helpful; provided a map and route and lots of information. We hired the e bikes as it is so hilly. The bikes were good and quite powerful. Would recommend and certainly use again if we are ever in Sydney again.

Great Customer Service and perfect bike for me - The employees at Manly Bikes are extremely friendly and helpful. I couldn't find the bike shop and the employee came out to find me and guide me to the store! At the store, the employee spend a good amount of time explaining to me different routes, places to see and eat. I can't wait to rent again from Manly bikes.

Great way to see Manly - We rented e-bikes and enjoyed a lovely ride to beaches and North Head. Jimmy was very helpful in mapping out our route and explaining how our bikes worked. We loved his favorite “locals” beach at Collins Flat and had the entire beach to ourselves. We encountered some rain at North Head, but with windbreakers on, we stayed warm and dry. E-bikes were helpful on the hills. We finished off our day with yummy beer and eats at Four Pines Brewery balcony.

Amazing bikes and service - Great experience hiring e-bike and road bike from Manly bike hire and tours. The bikes are high quality, well maintained and the staff hugely helpful and informative. The e-bikes have great battery range and we were able to comfortably do some long return rides to Palm Beach on one day and Kuringai national park on another. Highly recommend for a great active day out exploring the beautiful northern beaches!

Amazing day - great bikes - highly recommend - Hired 2 e-bikes - great service from Francesco. Informed us in detail of the best routes. Bikes were excellent. I would highly recommend. My only comment would be the ride along Manly Beach to the Boat House restaurant is VERY pedestrian heavy so it was very hard to cycle but other than that, fantastic day and saw Hump Back whales.

Service with a smile and such enthusiasm! - Three friends and I had a great experience renting through manly bikes. Jimmy and Seb were exceptionally helpful fitting each bike to the person and ensuring our selection was appropriate for the purpose. In a couple of hours we cycled up to and all around the Sydney Harbour National Park at North Head, including down to the Quarantine station wharf, where there is a nice cafe and even better view! We used a combination of hybrid and electric bikes so could all move at the same pace. The hybrid gearing was good and helped us manage the hilly terrain, and a map attached to the bike indicated an access route which avoided some of the steeper sections getting out of town. Thanks guys for facilitating a great day out!

Highly recommended, awesome service ! - As a family of five on holiday from a London we hired electric bikes from Manly Bikes to explore around and about. The bikes were excellent, clean and well maintained. Didn’t get the blokes name but the guy who sorted us out he was really welcoming and helpful. He gave us a demo of the bikes before we left and tips on where best to ride in the timeframe we had. Highly recommended.
