Beautiful day of kayaking and snorkeling in Manuel Antonio! - We kayaked and snorkeled with Warner at Tucanes Tours and it was awesome! Warner was knowledgeable, entertaining and fun. We had beautiful blue skies and the water was smooth. Snorkeling was very relaxing, although water was a little murky. All in all, another perfect day of "pura vida!"

Beautiful Sea Kayaking - This experience was so much fun! We kayaked for 25 minutes to a great little snorkeling spot. Our guide had sweet fruit ready for us afterwards, then we kayaked back. I highly recommend this tour.

Amazing! - We had an amazing time kayaking and snorkeling with our guide, Alvin! He brought out some pineapple so we could feed the fish and see them up close. It was such an amazing experience with wonderful people! Pura Vida!!

Great! - This was a nice activity and I felt I got a good workout in. Our tour guide Alvin was friendly and knowledgeable, when we stopped to snorkel he gave us a piece of pineapple and we got to feed the fish, that was amazing! Overall a good tour, but if you are sensitive to motion definitely take a Dramamine beforehand, you may start to feel a bit nauseous but that’s totally on you.. Alvin did great at helping those of us that felt a little sick.

The perfect mixture of under- and over-water activity - Had a great morning on the water with Hugo, who was very knowledgeable about Costa Rica and took us to the best spots for snorkelling. The perfect mixture of under- and over-water activity, with a nice lunch thrown in afterwards. The timing of the transfers was perfect too, all very punctual with no hanging around.

A great trip well organised - Both my friend & I were first time kayaker, so rather apprehensive about kayaking in the sea. But our guide was excellent. The way he instructed us, and really instilled confidence...and we were out in the sea & just loving it. He was extremely careful & responsible. We skipped the snorkeling at the other end of the bay, as it would have taken us first timers ages to get back. The tour included a great dinner at the Toucanes center / office..and the added bonus of seeing scarlet macaws ! If I had to go back to Costa Rica - I would definately organise my excursions thru Tucanes.

Wonderful afternoon of kayaking - Our kayak trip was a highlight! The water was balmy, the breeze was fresh, and the sky was expansively blue. We enjoyed the vigorous paddle across the bay, our stop for snorkeling near the reef (some beautiful fish), and our rest stop on the beach--with fresh pineapple and watermelon provided. We loved watching the frigate birds. Our guide Cesar and driver Jorge were friendly and helpful. The meal afterward was delicious and filling. The vans, dining pavilions, and restrooms were very clean. We wished we had brought brimmed hats with chinstraps as well as waterproof straps for our sunglasses. Since even "reef-safe" sunscreens are harmful to the reef, we recommend long-sleeve SPF shirts and long shorts or leggings to prevent sunburn. We were glad we had brought waterproof neck pouches for valuables--although Tucanes provided a group waterproof bag for personal items.

Kayak and surprisingly good snorkeling - Hugo was our excellent guide who generously shared about his life and a bit of history of the area. The paddling was easier than I expected and, since we went in the morning, not as blazing hot. I took a small pack with sunscreen and water - only things I didn’t mind getting wet. I put my phone in a water proof case that was a pain to use and wound up not taking any pictures. I’d advise just leaving it. The provided snorkel gear was good (no fins) and the coral was great. Many fish and healthy looking coral. Very well organized tour and incredibly nice staff

Snorkeling was fine, kayaking was work. - The sea kayaking - which we were looking forward to - turned out just to be the way to get to a snorkeling spot. We expected some sites along the way, or a discussion of local flora/fauna. But it was just an arduous kayak to a spot. The equipment was sub-par - the kayaks, paddles and life jacket. The standard life jacket for kayaking is not well designed for snorkeling. Finally, the snorkeling was mediocre. If that was the supposed to be the highlight of the excursion, it was a disappointment.
