Marathon - Thermopylae - Delphi

Marathon Tomb - The journey begins at the Tumulus of Athenians, a site symbolizing the courage, bravery, and ultimate victory of the Athenians over the Persians in 480 BCE. The tour also includes a visit to the Marathon Battlefield.

Archaeological Museum of Marathon - The next stop is the Archaeological Museum of Marathon and the prehistoric cemetery, showcasing evidence of early civilization. The tour will then pass through the city of Marathon.

Marathon Lake - Before heading to Thermopylae, the final stop in Marathon is Lake Marathon, located on the slopes of Mt. Penteli. This artificial lake still serves as the main water reservoir for Athens. Visitors can enjoy the stunning view and see the Marathon Dam, a marvel of engineering and the only dam in the world made entirely of Pentelic marble, the same marble used for the Parthenon on Acropolis Hill. Additionally, at the bottom, there is an excellent modern replica of the Treasury of the Athenians, originally located in the sanctuary of Delphi.

Historical Information Center Thermopylon - The tour continues to Thermopylae, where, ten years after the Battle of Marathon, King Leonidas and the 300 Spartans heroically faced the Persian army. At the historical center, visitors can enjoy a 3D movie that transports them back in time, evoking the presence of those who sacrificed their lives for freedom.

Leonidas Monument - The visit includes a stop at the statue of Leonidas, standing opposite Kolonos Hill, where the valiant Spartans made their last stand.

Battlefield of Thermopylae - The tour also covers the battlefield where King Leonidas and the 300 Spartans courageously confronted the Persian army for their country’s freedom.

Delphi - After some time in this serene area, the tour proceeds to Delphi, an ancient Greek sanctuary with a Panhellenic character dedicated to the god Apollo.
