Trek & Yoga combination for Mardi Himal. - Fantastic trek. Great Yoga teachings. This company really gave an attention to every detail, need, and level to make this a great experience for me. Along the trek my guide was open to modifications to make me wake up in great places and have maximum energy for going to mardi Himal base camp…. Where we had a yoga session after sunrise and we were alone in this beautiful space. Everything was great and this organiser have experience. I will definitely book with them again. However I will be a little more demanding in what hotel to stay at in Pokhara, now that I have understood that if hotels don’t treat monthly against cockroaches, there will be a problem for that. That is the point that can be better. For the rest of… amazing attention, teachings, and trek ! And the food at the tea houses are fantastic and fresh. ! I will come back to discover more.

Amazing Experience! - I did this tour with Raj who was the best tour guide! He was entertaining and made me feel safe and supported along the way. It was my first time to do a trek but found it manageable with this tour and tour guide.

Amazing view and amazing guide - The view at Mardi Himal was unforgettable, also I had an amazing and comfortable time doing my first ever serious trek thanks to my guide Sim - without him helping ease me into the mountain life, getting leeches off me, and making sure my time there was pleasurable, I probably would not have enjoyed my time as much as I did!

Beautiful monsoon trek, blessed with sunny days and a glimpse of Machhapuchhre! - Our first overseas trip after 2 years of covid hiatus, and also our first time in Nepal did not disappoint. Booking the tour and communicating with Bishnu was a smooth process. Our guide, Ashok and porter Roshan were warm and helpful and ensured our accomodation was well taken care of, and our bellies full for the trek! Ashok was flexible with the trek itinerary due to the unpredictable weather and offered us an alternative to maximise our trekking experience. We were fortunate to catch a clear view of the annapurna and machhapuchhre when the clouds cleared up 😌. We hope to come back to Nepal on another season!

Mardi Himal Honeymoon - We don't have enough positive things to say about our honeymoon in Nepal with Himalayan Recreation. After our first contact, they arranged essentially everything for us, from our arrival in Kathmandu to our departure from this lovely country. We did the Mardi Himal trek with our fantastic guide Ashok and our porter Subash (who we found out 3 days in were brothers!). Our experience was customized based on our timeline and fitness level (including 2 unplanned extra days), with Ashok's knowledge of the trails and valleys guiding the way. The food was shockingly delicious considering the rugged terrain, the beds comfortable, and the people universally accommodating and friendly. For people like us who like a little solitude, this was the perfect trek. We had gorgeous weather for the first week of March, and most days went by with seeing just a few other people on the trail. The views were stunning, and we feel like we had most of them to ourselves. Bishnu with the tour company also arranged paragliding in Pokhara, a one day Kathmandu cultural tour which was very informative, as well as a helicopter tour to Everest Base Camp which was possibly the highlight of the trip. We cannot recommend adding this to your trek if at all possible. Overall, we feel like our booking with Himalayan Recreation allowed us to drink in more of Nepal in our 7 days there than we could have in a month of planning it on our own. We had positive experiences from start to finish, and cannot recommend them highly enough. If you're lucky enough to get Ashok as your guide, tell him hi for us.

Great experience if planned properly - Great hike, but could be better. It was a 5 day hike so there was one day when I descended a huge distance on very steep stone steps. Very hard on the muscles. I would make it 6 days and descend an easier route. And then add on a trip to base camp - I just went to the viewing platform. Also, a lot of hiking was in the woods, which got a bit boring - I prefer the open.

Amazing first trek! - Just finished an amazing 6day trek to Mardi Himal with my excellent, friendly, reliable and professional guide, Varat. The trek itself was really good and it was beautiful with stunning views of the Annapurnas and Mt. Fishtail. It was very great experience, good price and good service. I definitely get back again soon.
