Highlights

Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

Marrakech - This 4-day tour of Morocco will start wherever you tell us: we will pick you up wherever is best for you, be it your hotel in the city, the station, the airport or any other point. Our driver will travel there aboard the comfortable vehicle that you will use throughout the route.

High Atlas Mountains - Along the way, we will make some stops to enjoy the beautiful views of the mountains and see traditional Berber villages.

Ait Ben Haddou - When we reach the village of Ait Ben Haddou, we will explore the most famous Kasbah in Morocco. This Kasbah is a great example of Moroccan architecture and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has also been featured in popular movies and TV shows such as Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Babel, and Game of Thrones.

Ouarzazate - After exploring the Kasbah with our guide, we will head to Ouarzazate. This city is known as the gateway to the Sahara Desert and is often referred to as the Hollywood of Africa. We will stop at Atlas Studio, the largest film studio in the world, to take some photos from the outside. Then, we will continue our journey through the valley of roses.

Dades Gorges - If we have enough time, we will drive to see the unique rock formations known as monkey fingers and the famous zig-zag road in Dades Gorges before arriving at your hotel. If not, we can visit both places the next morning.

Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Erg Chebbi Dunes

Gargantas del Todra - The kilometers of the Dades Valley that lie ahead are of great beauty, as we will understand as we cross the palm groves of Tinghir, Tinjdad and Touroug, almost a miracle of nature in this arid territory. In addition, we will momentarily deviate from the route to reach the Todra Gorges, a spectacular canyon in whose bottom this small river runs enclosed. We will walk around the area to admire its vertical walls, which climbers love so much.

Erfoud - We will arrive at Erfoud, a city that has gained worldwide fame for its unique fossils. And from this city, we will continue to Merzouga, where the dromedaries await us that will take us to the heart of the desert: the dunes of Erg Chebbi. That is the best way to discover this fairytale landscape, but also the best way to feel the vibrations, colors and sounds of this unparalleled environment.

Merzouga Desert - Our walk will end in a luxury tent camp, where we will be welcomed with tea and where we will have dinner, in an atmosphere of peace and serenity that is difficult to find in other places in the world. In addition, the sky sparkling with stars will add extra magic to the night.

Erg Chebbi Dunes - Visit to nomads - Khamlia - Merzouga

Merzouga - Seeing the sunrise in the desert, and especially in the dunes, is a highly recommended spectacle. And you will be able to experience it on this third day of the circuit, before having breakfast at the tent camp and returning to Merzouga, where we will board the all-terrain vehicle to begin the route of culture and adventure that awaits us this day.

Khamlia - The folkloric note will be provided by the Gnawa music groups, descendants of former sub-Saharan slaves who settled in this desert town, called Khamlia. We will attend a concert and admire their genuine and tribal percussion rhythms, as well as their brightly colored clothing.
After that, we will enter dirt tracks that the Paris-Dakar Rally ran through years ago and that now take us through khol mines and ruined French towns, from the time of the Protectorate. In this environment we will meet with nomadic families who, despite their gradual process of sedentarization, continue to maintain a lifestyle unimaginable in the frenetic post-industrial society.
After living with these families, we will return to Merzouga, but not before stopping at a panoramic point to enjoy the view of the dunes and the desert. And now in Merzouga, we will rest in a beautiful hotel of maximum comfort, perfectly integrated into the environment.

Merzouga - Rissani - Ziz Valley - Monkey Forest - Ifrane - Fez

Rissani - The fourth day is the last of this circuit, but it includes places and experiences of maximum interest until the last moment. Our road route has a first stop as soon as it begins, in Rissani, considered one of the most picturesque cities in the desert, especially its medina, where donkeys are still parked and spices are sold as in the past.

Errachidia - From Rissani we will go to the Ziz Valley, which we will travel in its entirety to the Middle Atlas. As soon as you crown the port and reach the north face of these mountains, the landscape will become greener and more humid. It is no coincidence that the Ifrane National Park is located here, where one of the largest colonies of Barbary macaques lives. The centuries-old cedars that remain standing here are its best habitat.

Ifrane - The route continues and will take us through a most unique town: Ifrane, whose gabled roofs evoke other mountain towns more typical of Europe or North America. This is explained by the copious precipitation in the form of snow that falls here during the winter.

Fes - And in this way we will arrive at Fez, the imperial city where the route ends. We will take you to the point of the city that you want, whether it is the hotel, the medina or any other place. And here our services on this circuit will end, with the hope of having provided the best of experiences.

Authentic Moroccan tourism. - From the beginning we feel accompanied and guided by the boys. They were very attentive and friendly. We knew Morocco as a real local (we do not like typical Tourist Trips) and restaurants, hotels and routes were always adapted to our tastes. Recommended 100%. We have already closed another trip for the new year 😊.

An unforgettable experience - It was a spectacular trip. Ismael is lovely and you feel super cared for having him as your guide. The activities and the landscapes, amazing: although we had a sandstorm, the spirits remained high and we could also live that facet of the desert. Highly recommended!
