Highlights
  • Le Jardin Secret - Medina - Marrakech - Your Private City Tour starts at the enchanting and picturesque Jardin Secret, one of the most popular attractions in Marrakech, and it is for good reasons. Let yourself take a break from the frantic pace of the Red City and enjoy the delicate fragrance filling the air in this refreshing oasis.

Note: If you choose the Full Package option, Skip-the-line tickets will be provided for your convenience, to avoid the long queue.

  • Gueliz - On your way to the Medina, you’ll pass by the ‘new city’, the modern side of Marrakech. The area was designed & built by the French in the early 1900s, and is today the thriving heart of the Red city, where you can spot popular international brands and fine cafés. You’ll also pass by its main avenue, that we love to call “the Champs Elysées of Marrakech”.
  • Koutoubia Mosque - You’ll then start your visit of the old town at the Koutoubia Mosque, a key piece in Morocco’s history, built during the 12th century under the Almohad Dynasty. Its minaret remains the tallest building in Marrakech so it can be visible from almost everywhere in the city, like a guiding star, helping you to get directions when you’re lost.
  • Bahia Palace - Next, you’ll visit the exquisite Bahia Palace that fascinates everyone by its fine Moorish architecture, gorgeous ceramic tiles and the majestic beauty of its colors.
  • Bahia Palace - -
  • Mellah - Then, you’ll walk through a very interesting part of the Medina, the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), which will help you understand the important role of the Jewish culture and community in developing the unique identity of Marrakech & Morocco.
  • Bab Agnaou - If you wish, you’ll go inside one of the city’s well-reputed herbal stores, where you can learn everything you want to know about herbs, spices and essential oils while having a Moroccan mint tea and some local pastry. Then, you’ll continue your way towards Bab Agnaou, one of the nineteen gates of Marrakech and the main entrance to the Royal Kasbah.
  • Kasbah - There, we’ll invite you to a unique cultural trip back in time to discover two points of interest: 1/ the Farnatchi, where you can uncover the process of heating the water in traditional public steam baths, called hammams, which dates back to Roman times; the Farnatchi is also where some locals still bring their dishes (especially the typical Tanjia) to be slowly cooked in a wood-fired oven; 2/ an age-old bakery where artisanal bread is still cooked the old fashioned way;
  • Medina of Marrakesh - Afterwards, it’ll be time to wander through the fascinating labyrinths of the world’s most vibrant and colorful open-air marketplace: The Souks of Marrakech. Between bazaars full of charm & character, stalls packed with mysterious potions, colorful piles of spices, essential oils, exquisite hand-knotted rugs… you’ll get to visit the leather souk, workshops of traditional woven Moroccan carpets & handmade Berber boucherouite (rugs), brass lamps & lanterns gallery, and so much more!
    Marrakech ranks among the great shopping cities of the world. With honest local knowledge by your side, you’re in good hands to have a splendid time in the establishments that are worth your time, without worrying to guess where to shop and where not to shop. And even if you have no intention purchasing, this will be a super fun part of your City Tour to experience. You’re in for a feast of the senses!
  • Souk Semmarine - The most comprehensive City Tour in Marrakech concludes in the largest souk district in Morocco, where merchants have been trading and selling their goods for the past 1000 years!! Get ready for a complete sensory overload! The combination of sounds, sights and smells are enough to leave even the most hardened of travelers feeling completely mesmerized.

Fantastic experience, highlight of trip - Mohamed was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. We only had a short time in Marrakesh so wanted to make the most of it and weren’t disappointed. The driver picked us up from our hotel on time, and via a combination of driving and walking we had a fascinating 4 hours exploring the sights of Marrakech.

Highly Recommend this Tour - Highly recommend this tour. Yahya was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable, friendly and took the best photos. It was a very relaxed tour around a busy medina and we got to see so much more than if we had done it ourselves. My family went alone and our experiences couldn’t have been more different. I’m so happy we chose this tour. The tour company were great at responding to emails and kept communication open, ensuring we had the tour we wanted that suited our needs.

Couldn’t recommend enough! Brilliant tour & team! - What a great half-day private tour. We had a fantastic driver and guide. Our driver turned up on time, messaged us to let us know we had arrived & was so friendly, pointing things out as we drove to meet our guide. Our guide, Yaya, was so friendly and enthusiastic. I travelled with my Mum who can feel nervous but she felt entirely at ease. We saw the souks, Bahia Palace, Secret Garden, Koutoubia Mosque. Reviews for other companies suggested they felt rushed or pressured to buy but this tour was not like that at all. We could take our time, there was zero hassling or pressure to get anything. We could not fault the team or the tour and would highly recommend.

Excellent guide, but a misleading tour - Our guide Mohamed was fabulous and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately our problem was with Viator/tour company. We booked this tour and paid for the upgrade package because we were told on the telephone by a Viator agent that this package included entrance fees to all attractions. The photographs showed the YSL gardens/museum and I asked if this was included when I booked over the telephone whilst I was still in the UK. The Viator agent put me on hold whilst she contacted the tour company. She came back to me and said she gave us her 100% reassurance that this was included, so we booked over the telephone. When we were picked up for the tour Mohamed asked us to choose which site we wanted to visit, we asked for the YSL gardens only to be told this wasn’t an option as we have to pay separately and pay online before we arrive. This was really disappointing as we wanted to experience the beauty of this place. Nevertheless we took Mohamed’s advice and visited another garden and the Koranic school. This was beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. However please do not be persuaded to book this tour as it is misleading and cost £140. We could have done a similar tour for £90. Due to this reason, I will not be using Viator again when I visit other countries.

Mohamed was a knowledgeable and enthusiastic host - The tour was on time and in a comfortable air conditioned vehicle with plenty of cold water provided. Mohamed was a courteous and knowledgeable host who was passionate and enthusiastic about showing us the sights. I enjoyed the tour. I travelled with a 10 year old boy who was excited to haggle in the Medina and we were shown around some nice shops. After subsequently speaking to other guests and hotel staff I believe we overpaid for our leather slippers by a very very large amount (babouches should not be nearly 500 dirham each) and knowing that the vendor took advantage of us and so openly scammed a small child has left a sour note as I feel a tour host could have helped to prevent that whilst being present during the purchase. The herbalist dropped some essentials oils from a bottle onto my skin and then sold the same bottles only for me to present them as gifts at home to discover I had been sold rather expensive empty bottles. The tour was good but don't get taken in by the shopping experience. I don't necessarily believe the tour was 'in on' this but feel it could have done a lot more to help highlight how cunning and dishonest the merchants we would be visiting turned out to be.
