- Medina of Marrakesh - Marrakech’s medina is about as close to an Indiana Jones movie as you can get. It’s a maze of smoky street side grills and snake charmers, Berber carpets and calls to prayer, swaying palms and Arabic coffee houses.
But it’s the food that makes this city so special. Forget soggy sfenj and mediocre tagines. Over four hours you’ll dig deep into this culinary powerhouse. Expect trays of sardines crackling with cumin in a wood-fired bakehouse, simmered escargot in ras el hanout, smoky chicken skewers sizzling over charcoal, soothing bowls of harira with sweet-caramel dates, slow-cooked rabbit tagine and many more surprises.
It’s more than that though. It’s a crash course in the culture behind the food, the answer to all those culinary questions: Why is bread so sacred? What is argan oil? Why do dates get served in odd numbers? And is the Djemaa el-Fnaa really worth eating in?

Our Marrakech culinary journey dives into the heart of the city’s traditional fare. Experience the city’s street food up close, learn about its creation and past. After indulging for four hours, you’ll be prepared to navigate Morocco’s culinary scene independently. The tour starts from the arches of the Bab Doukkala gate. There are two smaller pedestrian arches either side, one of which is next to a little kiosk - where your guide will be waiting. The two central arches of the gate have roads that lead between the medina and the new town.

10/10 food tour of the Medina - This food tour was the highlight of our trip! We booked on as a couple and were joined by another couple and another guy. Our tour guide, Abdul, was so knowledgable, accommodating and kind. I would 100% recommend the tour! We tried so many local dishes we wouldn’t have know about otherwise and saw so many parts of the Medina that we hadn’t before. Can’t recommend enough!

Eat yourself silly across the Medina - Totally worth every penny, from the 15 or so types of food you'll eat over the course of 4 hours, to the expert knowledge and care of tour guide Rachid, taking you to places you wouldn't find yourself, and aren't available to regular tourists. Come hungry!

Tasty tour - The tour was just amazing, and the food even better. The guide Rachid was really kind and had great knowledge on moroccan food. We tried many typical dishes and they were all really tasty. The views were nice too, which made the walk really pleasant. Everything perfect.

Best tour I did in Morocco, don’t miss it! - This was the very best tour I did in my entire 2 weeks in Morocco!!! Rachid was an amazing guide, explained the structure of the tour before we started and recapped where we had been and what we ate, he even sent us a list after the tour. I learned so much, ate so much and the best part is I ate things I would never have tried on my own. I would never have imagined I would enjoy beef spleen or beef liver, nor sardines. All were delicious thanks to the places Rachid took us, and his guidance. I saw the authentic, local parts of the Medina and to finish on a rooftop terrace with the sunset…chef’s kiss. A must for a vacation in Marrakech! - The tour was really nice. Rashid was the perfect Ciceron. He talked about his culture, his food and tradition. We got to try food that we wouldn't have otherwise. We had plenty of food in the 4 hours we walked around the Medina. As he told us "remember to have a light lunch and no plans for dinner because you'll have all of the food you can get!"

Highlight of our trip - This was the highlight of our Morocco trip! Rashid was an amazing and fun guide, and our group had a great time together exploring places we’d otherwise never find. You leave insanely full so don’t eat anything that day and pace yourself on the tour. 10/10, will recommend to anyone I know coming to Marrakesh. Thank you Rashid!

Try food you wouldn't otherwise with this amazing tour! - We had a wonderful experience! Tried so much amazing food we wouldn't have dared to try without this tour. Our guide Rashid was super nice and you could tell he knew his way around the town and the people. Definitely come with an empty stomach, cause you will be stuffed. Highly recommend this tour!
