Highlights

Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

Marrakech - We will leave Marrakech early in the morning heading towards the High Atlas mountain range where we will admire splendid landscapes and some Berber villages that dot these mountains

Ait Ben Haddou - We’ll get to Ait Ben Haddou, the best-known kasbah in all of Morocco, the scene of many famous films such as “La Mummy” and “Gladiator”. Ait Ben Haddou stands on a hill where the view is spectacular; we will be accompanied by a local guide who will tell us the history of this declared site world heritage site by UNESCO.

Ouarzazate - We will have lunch in Ouarzazate, also called Hollywood Africana for the numerous film studios present here.

Dades Gorges - After lunch we will continue the journey headed to the Dades Valley and other wonderful landscapes await us. We will make a few more stops beautiful view points and we will stop to drink tea before reaching the riad.

Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Tingdad - Efroud – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi Desert

Dades Valley Activities - We will leave immediately after breakfast to admire the suggestive morning lights that illuminate the Dades Valley.

Todgha Gorge - We will arrive at the Todra Gorges, a majestic canyon carved by the river of the same name, where we will have time for a relaxing walk. We will stop for lunch in a small restaurant local and after lunch we will immediately resume the journey so as not to miss the magical moment of sunset over the desert

Erg Chebbi - Once we arrive in Merzouga, the dromedary caravan will guide us into the heart of the Erg Chebbi to admire the sun going down on the dunes. Once we arrive at the bivouac we will be welcomed by a good tea followed by dinner with a delicious tajine. The camel drivers will entertain us with the sound of their sounds bongos and in a circle around the fire we will listen to their songs and their stories.

Day 3: Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif - Nkob - Draa Valley - Agdez - Marrakech

Merzouga Desert - The camel driver will wake us up early to accompany us to the high dunes so as not to miss the opportunity wonderful spectacle that the dawn, with its unique colors of gold and orange, can offer us.

Rissani - After a shower and a good breakfast we will leave for Rissani, one of the largest and most famous villages at the foot of the desert. We will visit his mausoleum and, if we are lucky and it is market day, we will be able to sneak in and look around, discovering everything that is sold.

Draa Valley - From here we will begin to admire the splendid ones landscapes of the Draa Valley which we will cross, stopping at some panoramic points that they will reveal all its beauty. We will then pass through Agdez which begins the “Valley of the Thousand”. Kasbah”.

Marrakech - In the evening we will return to Marrakech

Adventure in Morocco: High Atlas and Sahara Desert
Day 1: High Atlas and Berber Villages
Depart at dawn from Marrakech towards the High Atlas. Visit Ait Ben Haddou, kasbah and UNESCO site, have lunch in Ouarzazate, and continue to the Dades Valley with stops for photos and tea. Arrival at the riad for a relaxing evening.
Day 2: Todra Gorges and Sahara Dunes
After breakfast, explore the Todra Gorges, have lunch with typical dishes and head to Merzouga. Join a dromedary caravan in Erg Chebbi for the sunset. At the bivouac, enjoy tea, dinner and Berber music around the fire.
Day 3: Sunrise in the Desert and Return to Marrakech
Wake up early for sunrise over the dunes, breakfast and visit to Rissani, mausoleum and local market. Have lunch in Nkob and cross the Draa Valley with panoramic stops. Return to Marrakech in the evening with spectacular memories and photos.
