Well worth doing (again) - I have been on several swamp tours since living in New Orleans. It has been many years since I was on one, but like the ones before this was equally entertaining and an overall good experience. If you have the time to do a swamp tour, i would recommend it because it something outside of the city that is not only interesting but also a little hidden educational. I do not remember the Capitan's name (maybe Jack), but he was good. He was knowledgeable and he went the extra effort to show a couple of things are not always available except at certain time of the years. You see plenty of alligators and learn some valuable information without having to sitting in a classroom. I will do it again when I have more guests visit.

Relaxing Alligator Views A side trip from the bustle of downtown NOLA took us here for a swamp tour and it was great! - We saw plenty of alligators, two who swam close by so we could see closely its body and tail swinging around. It was awesome! Our guide knew how to make bird calls and it was a hoot with the owls. We saw a deer, many beautiful birds, and we got many wonderful shots of the wildlife and scenery. Afterwards, we took the advice of our guide and dined at Jan’s near the free pirate museum. It was great food by the river! The tour and Jan’s foods is a must see and do.

Amazing tour - St. Peter's Lutheran Church from Elgin, Texas took their Sr. youth to Jean Lafitte Swamp Tour. We had an amazing time! Our Captain was very knowledgeable of the ecosystem and had a fantastic sense of humor. Fantastic tour trying to find alligators. Identified several birds especially a barn owl. My youth had a relaxing and exciting time.

Find another driver - Driver canceled 12 hours before. Very disappointed. Not sure why they couldn’t find another driver or notify us earlier. Other companies would’ve done that.
