This ancient medieval fortress, which overlooks the village, belonged to the de Sade family for several centuries. The infamous libertine writer, the Marquis de Sade, resided here from ages 4 to 10.
- Chateau de Lourmarin - After exploring the Château de Lacoste, make your way to Lourmarin, one of France’s most beautiful villages. Nestled at the base of the Luberon, this medieval village is a true architectural treasure. Visitors can marvel at the stone houses, cobbled streets, and flower-filled squares, as well as a castle. This old fortress, built in the 15th century in Renaissance style, dominates the village and is another must-see on our tour.
