Highlights

As soon as the travelers have arrived at the place of departure, there will be a small presentation of the route, where we will tell the itinerary that the traveler will have to follow
(it is specified that the bike tour is self-guided, all travelers will have all the necessary tools to take the bike tour in complete autonomy)
After the presentation, travelers will leave for Alberobello.
Alberobello is the greatest example of an urban center of trulli culture, with its almost 2000 conical-shaped buildings it is in fact considered by many to be the capital of the trulli. The area where the trulli stand is a karst area, in the past inhabited for the most part by farmers.
Trulli are small stone houses without windows, or with a small and simple window in a square or rectangular shape. The color of the houses is white (i.e. whitewashed) with a gray cone roof, which originally light has darkened due to atmospheric agents.
They are built without concrete, but with mortar and local limestone.

From Alberobello you will cycle towards Locorotondo, a town recognized as “Orange Flag” by the Touring Club for the harmony of the shapes and the usability of the historic center, the ancient heart of Locorotondo is a unique monument that exerts charm and charm, with its white huts, the cobbled streets, elegant portals and flowered balconies.

The last stage of our journey will take place in a winery located in the heart of the Itria Valley, where a tasting of typical local products will take place.

Finally, we return to the place of departure to leave the bicycles.

Fantastic Ride - One of the highlights of our visit to Southern Italy was our e-bike tour of the Valle D'itria with Martino. There are many valuable aspects of the tour, not the least of which Martino’s sunny disposition and convivial attitude that perfectly matches the environs. In addition, Martino will furnish you with well-maintained e-bikes that make the ride through the gorgeous landscape of the Valle D'itria fun and joyful. The e-bikes can be calibrated to allow for as much or as little physical peddling s you would like. Martino is very attentive to your safety at all times and is also quite happy to accommodate whatever desires for the itinerary that you might have. In our case, we had already visited the usual stop of the towns of Locorotondo and Alberobello, so Martino adjusted the route to accommodate our wish to see more of the magnificent countryside.

Beautiful vistas along the route. - The Tour said that it would include 1) Helmets which were not provided; 2) A lesson on safety and accident prevention which was not provided; 3) The tour would be guided which it wasn't. No guide accompanied us biking; 4) Lunch will be provided but it wasn't. There was a very small snack (four olives, handful of dried fava beans); 5) We were provided an app for us to use to find our way around on the tour on our own. Since this wasn't shared in advance we did not know how it worked. Further, if there is no mobile coverage or a battery dies there is no map or way of knowing how to proceed. This happened and we had to revert to using google maps on our own with the other person's mobile. I would highly recommend the Viator review the thoroughness of the offerings of their selected tour providers.
