Beautiful experience - Very useful and interesting tour of the stones thanks to Giusy, a highly experienced guide capable of transmitting love for the area and above all knowledge of the history and geology of the place! We had shot the day before independently without naturally being able to fully appreciate what we were seeing, even though it was amazing. With the right directions, however, we were able to enjoy not only the wonderful views of this city, but we were able to discover the thousand-year history up to the present day and the thousand details that are hidden in the labyrinth of stones! Fun and educational! Highly recommended! A thousand thanks!

Tour of the stones - Very interesting tour of the stones. Duration in the order of two hours. The guide Antonia was very kind and very clear and engaging in telling the story of Matera. With his passion, it seemed like reliving the history of Matera through a physical visit to the city. The tour included a furnished stone house from the time and a rock church (with an accompanying singing performance by Eustachio, an elderly gentleman who passes down the experiences of Matera from the past.

Humoristic guide elevates the experience - Matera is a breath taking city. Also literally; lot’s of stairs have to be climbed - but it is worth the effort. Even in November Sassi is teaming with visitors, although on a Monday a lot of restaurants were closed.

Underwhelming guide. - Matera was absolutely stunning and full of so much history. Our guide was nice but not very outgoing. I felt as though we spent a lot of time walking, with no narrative from her. I felt as though I needed to prompt her for more information too often.
