Highlights
  • Fort Lesendro - Lesendro is a peninsula and fortress on Skadar Lake, situated near the village of Vranjina. Constructed in the 18th century, the fortress stands on a peninsula that was originally an island until the Belgrade - Bar railway line was built. During the rule of Bishop Peter II Petrović-Njegoš, it was used as a defense against Turkish invasions. Unfortunately, the Montenegrins were not successful, and the Turks captured the area, leading to the island being referred to as Njegos’ sorrow. The fortress of Lesendro symbolizes the enduring struggle of the Montenegrin people for independence.

Tour plan: The journey starts from Virpazar. The cruise begins through a charming little channel surrounded by diverse plants and birds, leading to a larger part of the lake. We will pass under the bridge that is part of the main road from Podgorica to Bar. Lesendro is located just beyond the bridge.

Next, you will see the large and small Cakovica islands, where we will take a break for swimming. After swimming, we will return to Virpazar.

The best experience with guide! - The trip to Lake Skadar was wonderful, thanks in large part to the guide, which is an encyclopedia of the lake's surroundings and the history of Montenegro! The price was very good for a 2 hour trip, which we don't even know when it passed. We highly recommend Boat Eagle!

Great trip! No hidden costs, nice views and fun information. - I’m so glad we did Eagle boat nature tour. They messaged us on WhatsApp before the tour started, so it was easy to find them at the meeting spot. Captain Nik is very familiar with the lake and had an interesting/fun fact about different parts of the lake, village and country. Everything went over our expectation, absolutely doing it again next time we come to Montenegro. Definitely a highlight of our trip.

Just a great tour! - We had a blast on the tour. We could reach them quite easily via Whatsapp, they were clear in their information and super friendly. Standing on the deck of the boat was breath taking and our guide told us a lot about the lake and life in Montenegro. Awesome!

Great private tours on Lake Skadar! - We had a 4h private tour on Lake Skadar with the two lovely young owners of this company. We had the best time with stunning views, refreshing swims and even a bottle of wine that was prepared for us! Definitely recommend this company, prices are fair.
