The best tour in Colombia - The best tour I have done in Colombia. From the first online contact, until they dropped me off at my house. It was spectacular to tour commune 13 with Sara, learning about its history and that of its people. Their willingness to accompany us and show us every corner made this experience unforgettable. Juan Pablo joined us on the coffee tour and together with Sara they did an unparalleled job, no detail was missing, delicious food, knowing the complete process, walking through the crop and trying the coffee (in 4 preparations!), knowing that we are contributing to the growth and prosperity of a Colombian family made our day a spectacular one. I already recommended you and I hope to do more tours with you.

Memorable Medellin Visit - We were fortunate to have Andres and Sarita as our tour guides during our visit to beautiful Medellin. Andres guided our family through a very pleasant coffee farm tour. He was knowledgeable, articulate and clearly communicated of the full cycle of coffee process from laying the seed, nurturing the plants, picking the beans, bagging the coffee to the grand finali of tasting the product which was a wonderful sampling of what real coffee should taste like experience. Sarita guided us on an exciting journey to Guatape. She explained the history of the region, offered us a sample taste of the local fruit, cheered us on from the comfort of the coffee shop while we climbed the 800 El Peñol steps! We loved the entire trip and enjoyed her company. We were so pleased with both tours we asked Andres to guid us on a tour of Comuno 3 which was another outstanding experience. We highly recommend Medellin Day Trips tours for all visitors specially American tourists.

Highly recommended tour which is very enjoyable and you leave with so much knowledge - The graffiti tour around Comuna 13 and the coffee farm tour around Maquesina coffee farm was fantastic! Erica was our tour guide and she is a fountain of knowledge on everything to do with Medellin and I would highly recommend asking for her as a tour guide, if she is a available. If you are going to do any tour in Medellin, then this definitely has to be on your list! Also, make sure that you book directly through the Medellin Day Trips website.

Absolutely Amazing - The Private Graffiti Tour and Coffee Farm experienced was absolutely perfect for us. We only had a day and half in Medellin and these two activities were a must for us. This was the only company that I could find that does these two tours in one day. The communication was outstanding. They contacted me when they said they would and were right on time for the of the tour The graffiti tour itself was fabulous. I imagined it as just a graffiti tour, but it was so much more than that. Sara o Sarita, did a spectacular job. Her English is super clear and she did a fantastic job in explaining the complicated history of the area. She took us to wonderful view points, great food locations, and shopping spots. She knew exactly where to take us for scenic picture opportunities . The Coffee Farm was absolutely fantastic. We had a delicious lunch. They offered vegetarian food that I was able to turn vegan very easily. We went to Bosques de Doctora Finca. They were lovely, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We had a chance to do coffee tasting, learn about coffee preparation, coffee timeline growth, coffee production process, and purchase organic coffee. We also had opportunities to wear traditional clothing for picking coffee. They gave us boots, hats, and ruanas. We picked some coffee beans off the trees and then prepared it. It was so much fun! We got such good pictures. Overall Sara was very patient with our large group and provided us with so much information. I highly recommend Sara as a tour guide. I also highly recommend Medellin Day Trips. Andres is the best in putting these tours together. They have so many unique tours.

Wonderful Experience for the Entire Family - My family was only in Medellin for a couple of days and wanted to make the most of our short visit. Booking the Graffiti Tour and Coffee Farm Experience through Medellin Day Trips was an excellent choice! Erika, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing! Having grown up in Medellin she knew so much about Comuna 13 and the meaning behind the beautiful graffiti as well as the history of the city. She also knew how to keep the tour engaging for our young children who definitely aren’t coffee drinkers! I would definitely recommend this tour to anybody and Erika as a guide!

Best day in Medellin! - Words can not explain how much our group of 6 people enjoyed this private tour. Best day in Medellin so far. Erika, our tour guide, was awesome. She was very personable and knew the area and locals very well. You can tell everyone knows her and likes her. She is definitely what made the tour so memorable. Comuna 13 is a must while in Medellin. I see people walking on their own but I think you don’t get the full appreciation or experience without a guide. The area has a lot of history and has a story to tell. The last part of the tour was at a coffee finca (Bosques de la Doctoras). This was way above our expectations. The finca is family run and they go through great detail to show you how the coffee process works from planting the seed into the ground to drinking it. The finca has great views all around and my son (6) loved looking for the coffee beans and picking them. We traveled with an elder person and Erika did everything to accommodate her. My advice for anyone planning on taking this tour is: 1) Do it! It’s worth every peso 2) Request Erika! 3) Book it early in your trip. Erika has such good insights and she can help you get the most out of your time in Colombia.

Best Comuna 13 and Coffee farm tour - We did our tour with this amazing company @Medellindaytrips and they did not disappoint. They have a variety of tour combinations and we found the perfect one we were looking for. From day one, Andres was super responsive on Whatsapp and helped us with all the details we needed. He gave us a lot of great information so we could make an informed decision. He made suggestions that made our trip super convenient. He assigned Sarah to us who was our driver and tour guide for the day. She is a local and is extremely knowledgeable about the destinations. We toured Communa 13 followed by a local coffee farm tour. We were traveling with our two young children and Sarah was so patient with us. Helped us with the local shopping and with a tonne of information about Communa 13. Once we reached the coffee farm, we ate a delicious home cooked Colombian meal. Best part is that they had veterinarian options. Everyone at the farm was so friendly and honestly the warmth and love they showed, broke all the language barriers. We got in-depth and step by step information about the process of coffee planting to when it reaches our cups. We also tasted coffee prepared four different ways along with why it tastes the way it does. We experienced real Colombia and the big hearted people of this beautiful and colorful country will always have a place in our hearts. I'd highly recommend any tour with this brilliant company and Sarah you have my love and respect. ❤️

Highly recommend this tour! - We had an amazing time with MedellinDayTrips and our guide, Erika! It was amazing to see the transformation in comuna 13 and learn all about its history. Erika knew all the best spots and local artists and dancers. We added the cable car ride to the tour, which I would highly recommend! It was great to get that experience and perspective of the city. And finally, the coffee tour was a perfect end to the day. The coffee itself and lunch was extremely good and it was so interesting to see the journey each cup of coffee goes through. I would highly recommend to book this tour! Lots of fun, great communication, and a nice comfortable car. 🙂

The BEST tour! - This tour was recommended to me by a friend, and it was amazing! Yuly was knowledgeable, friendly, and taught my boyfriend and I so much throughout the day. First, she picked us up at our hotel and took us to Communa 13, where she shared the history of the area and showed us famous graffiti art, explaining the meanings along the way. Then we hopped in the car and went to a coffee farm just outside the city. There we met the owner, who joined the three of us on a coffee picking adventure in the mountains. After eating the most delicious lunch I’ve had in my life, and trying the owners coffee made three ways, we donned hats, a bucket and a poncho like clothing item (snapped plenty of pictures) and laughed as we slid up and down the mountain, searching for “cherries” - the ideal time to pick a coffee bean. Then we went back and learned about the roasting process and closed out the day. Not only was this day informative, but a fun and exciting adventure. Yuly was a wonderful tour guide- I cannot praise her enough! We are so grateful we had this experience and upon our return to Medellin, will definitely do this again.
