ArtVo is an immersive art or ‘trick art’ gallery, where you are encouraged to touch the art and become part of the art by taking photographs from designated points on the floors of the gallery.

There are 9 themed zones to explore with over 80 hand painted immersive installations just minutes from Melbourne CBD.

And there’s a new theme - Fantasy - spanning the entire course of the gallery. The Fantasy theme will see people explore the ocean, polar ice caps, space and the forest. Plus, the dream like art will see some very exciting interactive experiences.

Getting to ArtVo is easy. Catch the tram- the free City Circle (35), 70 or 86 tram- to Waterfront City/Docklands stop D11 or jump in the car and head to The District Docklands East or West multi-level car parks, where parking is easy.

Very cool experience, exceeded our expectations! - This was so much better than we were expecting! My son chose it as something he wanted to do while in Melbourne, and we thought it would be a quick stop with not a whole lot to do. We were blown away! So much bigger than we thought it would be, with room after room of amazing paintings and optical illusions. We ended up spending about an hour and a half here. We took so many pictures and they came out really cool. It was pretty crowded, so try to schedule first appointment of the day. The only thing that would have improved the experience is having some staff located throughout who could assist with group pictures or advice on how to get the best position, angle, etc.

Beautiful artwork. - Beautiful artwork. Pictures are breathtaking. Takes around 1.5 hrs. Took a 100 pictures 🙂 Booked it online. Was easy. Staff was nice.

Feast for your eyes - I had the privilege of visiting the ArtVo museum Melbourne recently, and it was a truly awe-inspiring experience! The museum's collection is incredibly diverse and impressive works.

Afternoon of fun - We had so much fun. Great for old and young. My only issue with ArtVo would be have a receptionist that will inform you how the whole experience works. She did not do this and we had to do the whole thing again once we realised how it worked. Great way to spend an afternoon

Get those poses ready! - I went here with my two sisters, and we had a lot of fun. We were probably not as inventive as most people with the poses, but we still had fun and that is what it is about. The man at reception was very helpful as well.

Let your inner child be free! - This was a fun activity to do with friends. I can imagine it would be lots of fun with kids, but we still enjoyed it as adults. But, to enjoy it as an adult you have to let go of some inhibitions and just get amongst it and play! It is a really clever idea that allows you to be creative. Some of the images have a bit of wear and tear so they don't have the same impact in photos, but most come out great.
