Highlights
  • Blue Tongue Bikes - Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product and has the same stops as the Best of Melbourne Bike Tour - with added e-bike boost!
  • Southbank - We pay our respects to the people and environment of the Kulin Nation, whose land was never ceded and we cycle on. We also introduce some settler figures who shaped Melbourne into the city you see today.
  • Shrine of Remembrance - Victoria’s largest and most visited war memorial of national significance and an introduction to William Barrack, Aboriginal leader, activist, cultural ambassador, educator and advocator for Aboriginal rights.
  • Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) - For sports fans, admirers of athletic ability and large stadiums that roar! This is an impressive area that lends itself to Melbourne’s title of the “sporting capital of the world”.
  • Fitzroy Gardens - Discover Cook’s cottage, which was shipped out from England and rebuilt, brick by brick, in the middle of the must-see Fitzroy Gardens.
  • Parliament House of Victoria - Built to demonstrate the wealth of Melbourne which was then one of the richest cities in the world due to the gold rush.
  • Royal Exhibition Building - Visit this magnificent building and ode to the international exhibition movement of the 19th century where people still meet to exchange goods, technology, ideas, culture and values.
  • Fitzroy, Victoria - Enjoy a bite for lunch and the surrounds in Melbourne’s most eclectic neighbourhood. Please bring some money for this stop on the tour.
  • Chinatown - Visit lively Chinatown, the second oldest in the world right in the heart of Melbourne. It was established in 1851 in response to the gold rush.
  • Hosier Lane - Pull up the bike and let your eyes do the wandering down this famous bluestone lane filled with dazzling art that gives Melbourne its globally recognised urban edge.
  • Federation Square - Enjoy the buzz of Melbourne’s first public square. An architecturally designed space connecting Flinders Street to the Yarra River nestled among the neighbouring heritage buildings including St Paul’s Cathedral and Flinders Street Station.
  • Immigration Museum - Consider Melbourne’s history through the eyes of its immigrants, who make up 50% of the population with this stop overlooking the Immigration Museum.

Fun ebike ride exploring Melbourne - This was our first time on ebikes - bikea and the tour were fun and Matt the guide gave us a good insight into the history and culture of Melbourne. Lunch was also at a great spot 'Naked for Satan' with a great view over the city.

Great ‘First Day’ Tour - We had an awesome tour with Finbar as our guide. We were two families with teens traveling together. Finbar made the ride fun with lots of information on the history of Australia and Melbourne that resonated with both the adults and teens. The ride was super easy — we booked regular bikes but were upgraded to e-bikes which was fun. Exploring Melbourne on bike is a great way to see the diverse city; we highly recommend doing this on your first day.

great way to see the sights around Melbourne and Fitzroy. - Fantastic way to spend a few hour’s sightseeing around Melbourne with lunch in a lovely little cafe in Fitzroy. We covered a lot of ground in the 4 hours and Finn our guide gave us enough history and facts without overloading our brains.

City cruising! - Finn, our guide, was so lovely and relaxed, helping show us so much around Melbourne that we'd never seen before. It's given us a new perspective on the city. Our stop for lunch in Fitzroy was so yummy and the bikes a breeze to ride. We'll definitely recommend this tour to anyone of any fitness level. Go and do it!!

Enjoying easy bike ride while learning about Melbourne - A great way to see Melbourne! Easy riding route. Mostly on walking/bicycle paths, only a portion on the road with cars. Freddie did an excellent job of keeping our group together and safe and providing information and history of the area.

Great Experience - Our guide, Finn, was exceptional. He offered significant detail and insights into his narrative regarding Melbourne’s history and landmarks.. We never felt uncomfortable riding through the busy sections of the city. Favorite sights included the War Memorial, Sports Complex, Botanical Gardens, Chinatown, the skyline and the river front. Great job, Finn. Thank you

Great tour. - The tour was excellent, and the bikes were great. Our guide Finn was knowledgeable and informative. He was attentive to all of our needs and ran the tour in a safe and efficient manner. My only negative was that he was continually putting forward his politically woke viewpoints and spin. My advice would be to stick to the facts about Melbourne and the tour, and you'll keep everyone on it happy!
