Highlights
  • Phillip Island Nature Parks - Koala Reserve - It is only a 1hr 45min drive from Melbourne directly to Phillip Island. On arrival you will be greeted by Phillip Island Nature Parks Ranger for a guided walk through Phillip Island’s Koala Reserve. You will be given a presentation about Koalas, history and relevance of the Reserve and the last area of natural woodland on the island.
  • Cape Woolamai - Phillip Island boasts a population of approximately 15,000 which is boosted during the busy tourist seasons. There are three main settlements being Cape Woolamai, New Haven & Cowes. Our stop at Cape Woolamai beach is seasonal subject to weather permitting and mostly visited during summer season.
  • Cowes - During summer time we often make time to wander through the coastal township of Cowes. Sheltered alongside the calm Westernport Bay this township was named after Cowes on the Isle of White. Beautiful seaside scenery, unique stores to peak into and many nice restaurants to purchase food. This stop is only due to timing restrictions in winter as there are less hours of day light.
  • The Nobbies Centre - Next, we arrive at the Nobbies Rocks where you can take a walk down the boardwalks to see the rocky coast and spot Penguins nesting in their burrows. Then we travel along the Phillip Island backroads through Phillip Island Penguin Habitat. Enjoy incredible views of the coastal cliffs on your way to the Phillip Island Penguin Parade.
  • Phillip Island Nature Parks - Penguin Parade - The main attraction of Phillip Island tour has always been the Little Penguins doing their daily ritual of penguin parade. These little friends are the smallest of its kind in the world. Enjoy sunset at the Visitor Information Centre and choose the right seat to have a great view of the main spectacles of the day — the Penguin Parade!

Cute Koalas & Penguins! - The itinerary was well-planned and we had enough time at each of the places. We got to see the sleeping koalas up close, and also the penguins. Our guide Fiona was lovely and gave us lots of fun facts about Melbourne, she was also very enthusiastic showing us the baby koala Joey and even stopped on the road to let us take pictures of an Echidna. Couldn’t have asked for a better guide! Overall an amazing trip, would recommend to everyone visiting Melbourne.

Well organised tour with close wildlife encounters - Koalas and penguins guaranteed on this tour and you can get really close to them. Especially the penguin parade was unique and fantastic sight to behold. Our guide and driver Fiona took very good care of us and gave us really good hints on where the good spots are at the parade.

Disappointing people - Penguins were amazing to see. Very disappointed that people are taking pictures when they are repeatedly told not to. We asked people to stop taking pictures and were ignored.
