Highlights
- Messina - Once you disembark from the ship, I will wait for you at the cruise terminal, at the gate 5 exit of the port of Messina where I will be there waiting for you with a sign with your name and surname. From here we will begin our journey to Savoca, which will last approximately 1 hour by car.
- Bar Vitelli - We will stop in the art city of Savoca where we can visit the Vitelli bar, where it will be possible to taste a typical Sicilian granita. Another stop on our tour will be the church of “Santa Maria in cielo Assunta” which we also find in some excerpts of the film such as that of the wedding between Michael Corleone and Apollonia.
- Castelmola - Once you arrive in Castelmola you can admire one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and taste the almond wine in the very famous Bar Turrisi known for the presence of phallic shapes used as decorations. These symbols are not to be designated as vulgar, but as a symbol of fertility, prosperity and freedom according to the ideas of Greek culture. Alex will also take you to taste some delicious Sicilian cannoli, included in the price of this tour, from our friend Stefania Pitittitti.
- Taormina - The last stop of our tour will be Taormina. We will arrive at Piazza San Pancrazio, where travelers will make their tour and will be able to visit the characteristic streets of Corso Umberto, admire the beautiful landscapes and go to the Greek-Roman theater of Taormina (the cost of the entrance ticket is excluded from the price of the tour) .
- Messina - Once our tour is finished we will return to the starting point of the cruise ship terminal

Additional Information
Estimated arrival in Savoca, the famous village where the film “The Godfather” was filmed. In Savoca we will visit the Bar Vitelli, present in various scenes of the film, and the ancient cathedral where the wedding scene between Michael Corleone (played by Al Pacino) and Apollonia was filmed. Subsequently we reach the ancient village of Castelmola. During the tour of Castelmola you can visit the famous Turrisi bar, characterized by the presence of phallic shapes, where it will be possible to taste the famous almond wine. You can also taste excellent Sicilian cannoli or other typical products, offered by Booking Sicily Tours. The third stage of the tour is the arrival in Taormina, with a stop at “Porta Catania”. Once in Taormina it will be possible to visit the Greco-Roman amphitheater and the beautiful Corso Umberto, the ancient street of Taormina. Also besides me to guide you in Tour There will be an accompanying guide who will help you on the tour.

Amazing Sicily Tour - This was by far the best on-shore tour we experienced on our 12 day trip and we went on a lot of private tours. Alessandro (Alex) Martinez was our host and driver with Assya as our tour guide. Alex was so kind, patient, and charming. He definitely made Sicily memorable. He will even sing for you if you want authentic Italian music while driving in the van :) . Assya was sweet as can be, knowledgeable, and personable. The three villages that we visited were amazing and fun. Cannolis and almond wine were part of the agenda. I can't say enough good things about this excursions but I will say : book with Alex, you will have an amazing day.

Best day ever!!! - This was truly one of the best days and tours we had on our cruise as we spent the day in Sicily.
Alessandro Martinez arranged the entire day and was so easy to communicate and plan with before we even arrived.
He was an amazing driver who provided a terrific tour guide who accompanied us. He truly cares for his customers and wanted to provide the best experience possible in the time we had together.
It was a day we will always treasure and remember!

Tour of Sicily - It was a very nice day! Alessandro showed us several things and gave the necessary explanation. We were offered a drink and typical cannoli of Sicily.
We are very satisfied!! It is definitely recommended to book a tour with him 🤗🤗🤗

Best day trip! - What can I say, this was by far our best excursion we had on 10 day cruise. The van was great and driver got us fresh cannolis that morning. Our tour guide Beran was absolutely wonderful. We wish we would have more time at each stop. She showed us all the gems at each stop and made us all fall in love with Sicily
