A Visit to Pompeii & Sorrento - We started the day by meeting our guide, Roberta (via Tour Guide Naples), just outside the port of Naples where we took the local metro and express train out to Pompeii (she bought all our tickets for us as part of the tour). Our private tour enabled us to skip the large entry line into the site which got us ahead of the very large crowds at Pompeii. Roberta has an archeological background and was part of the Pompeii site dig, so she was full of many helpful and fascinating facts during our walking tour. Pompeii is so expansive that you could spend several days there seeing new sites, but Roberta did a wonderful job hitting the major highlights and getting us to popular locations ahead of the large crowds and lines. I believe we spent at least 2-2.5 hours there! We were supposed to go to Capri, but the rough seas caused quite the ferry delay and was no guarantee that we could get back in time for our cruise port departure. So, Roberta organized a pivot and planned for us to drive to Sorrento, taking in the beautiful coastline views through the small villages along the way. We had a lovely lunch at a local spot in Sorrento (absolutely delicious pizza, huge calzone, amazing house wine and a free limoncello to finish it off). Roberta then gave us a walking/historical tour of Sorrento with a little bit of time leftover for shopping before we had to make the return trip back to the cruise. It was a lovely way to spend our time in the areas surrounding Naples!

Wonderful Pompeii and Capri tour! - Vitto took great care of us. He arranged exactly what we wanted-just Pompeii and Capri. He accommodated our older dad's needs, as well as giving really knowledgeable guidance to the rest of us. TourguideNaples listened to what wanted and gave us an excellent experience! He new many people, was fun, and also interested in the sites themselves.
