They are individually distinguished by names: the first, attached to the mainland, is called Stella; the second, separated from the first by a stretch of sea, is known as Faraglione di Mezzo; and the third, extending towards the sea, is the Faraglione di Fuori or Scopolo.

These stone giants are the result of millennia of erosion caused by waves and wind. Their scenographic presence has been a point of reference for sailors for centuries and an undisputed symbol of the island of Capri.
